In the summer of 1942, 21 year-old Anne Calloway, newly engaged, sets off to serve in the Army Nurse Corps on the Pacific island of Bora Bora. More exhilarated by the adventure of a lifetime than she ever was by her predictable fiance, she is drawn to a mysterious soldier named Westry, and their friendship soon blossoms into hues as deep as the hibiscus flowers native to the island.

What made the experience of listening to The Bungalow the most enjoyable?

To be honest there were moments where I found the story a little sappy but in the end I really liked it a lot. I laughed, cried and had a great time listening to this story!

Would you listen to The Distant Hours again? Why?

I don't usually listen to books twice but if I had to choose one to listen to this would be it!

What about Caroline Lee’s performance did you like?

I adore Carolines voice and the way she tells a story. She is my favorite story teller!

    Any additional comments?

    I highly recommend this book.
