"Very good, Easy to understand and apply"
Very down to earth, easy to apply, easy to follow.
This is a book I definetely would listen to again and again. Very good
"Not my kind of book"
Based on reviews I thought this book would be easier to listen to. I found good moments and seems to be very well researched, however it's not the kind of books that I like. It's not based on a character (e.g. Washington) but more on the events of the year 1776 (as the tittle sugested, my mistake!)
"Go ahead, listen to this book"
I had just finished Les Miserables and needed a light story to refresh my brain after the heavy highly charged book. And this book was perfect! I enjoyed the setting of the story, loved the characters, the italian accent. I also liked the way it was written, leaving you wonder what's next for a little while. Nice, entertainig and refreshing.
"I liked this book"
I liked this book, read it really fast. Excellent narrative, and enjoyed the real life examples that made it really easy to understand and bring the points accross.
"Beautiful Book"
Good narrative, very well written. Very tough story combined with the innocence of kids that made me laugh at times. I really enjoyed it and recommend to anyone.
"Good Good Good!"
This was one of my first audiobooks. At the begining Suzanne Collins voice felt monotonous, but short after she got me into the characters really nicely. The book is well written, the story is rich with details, and it's a good one. Not so much to be a classic but it's highly entertaining. I ended up finishing the trilogy; however books 2 and 3 don't even come close to how good the first one is.
"Nice book. Connely-Gilles perfect match"
I liked the focus of this book being on the investigation of murders, and not on the creepy, morbid details of the murders. Very well written, good sequence of events. I was most impressed with Peter Gilles (narrator) he has to be one of the best! Having a good narrator makes a big difference for any book. Very clear pronunciation, and very nice tone and voice modulation. Kept me engaged from beginig to end. I look forward listening to more books of Conelly-Gilles combination
"Classic"
Very well written, good narration. I enjoyed this book a lot, there's definetely a good reason for it to be a classic. The only thing I would change is that it is very long, and some parts could be shorter. I was not disappointed, from begining to end it's a book that holds your attention.
"Enjoyed & did not leave a long lasting impression"
I have to say the book kept me engaged, even though it was not a mystery book as I thought. Narrator has a lot to do with it; and the book was very nicely written, connecting every part smoothly; but it's one of those books that just come and go.
"Way too long..."
It's my first Stephen King book, and I did not enjoyed it much. There's way too much unnecessary details, as it extending for the only fact of making a long story even longer.
Not a bad story, but I can think of many books that would be a better investment.
What I truly enjoyed was the parts about these kinds wonderful friendship. And the one that I truly disliked was kids having sex... and by the way it even seemed out of context, there was nothing that suggested that could happen; and there it was, with disturbing details and with no repercussion whatsoever on the rest of the book. I even thought about stopping the book, however after 20and some invested hours, I decided to finish it... Just glad it's over. Narration has a lot of emotion, a few times a little too much yelling, but the book called for it; I guess narration was the part that kept me going until the end.
"A book of... nothing"
no
It has good moments, but I wouldn't read again or talk about the book to anyone. I'm surprised it has such good reviews
