From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan (“the devil”) and placed a bounty on his head. Kyle earned legendary status among his fellow SEALs, Marines, and U.S. Army soldiers, whom he protected with deadly accuracy from rooftops and stealth positions.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would because it very patriotic and surprisingly light. It goes in depth to what SEALs lives are like. It does get preachy and a little to far "right" at the end, but overall very interesting.

What was one of the most memorable moments of American Sniper?

His stories of the tours in Iraq.

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she's made it out of the bloody arena live, she's still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge....

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who likes abrupt anticlimactic endings, which explain nothing.

What could Suzanne Collins have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Actually created an ending. It seems she just strung some random events together and doesn't bother explaining the hows and whys. It is very frustrating. I am still waiting for closure in the story!

What didn’t you like about Carolyn McCormick’s performance?

She sounds like an older woman. More like my sweet grandmother.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment. Total and complete Disappointment.

    Any additional comments?

If you read one and two, just stop. Make your own ending it will probably offer more closure and explanations than the real one.

Katniss Everdeen continues to struggle to protect herself and her family from the Capitol in this second novel from the best-selling Hunger Games trilogy.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, it is a lot of whining and emotions. Just stop after the Hunger Games and make your own ending.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The second hunger games was pretty entertaining. The least interesting is Katniss's constant rants and ridiculous "emotional" queries. Anytime Katniss is by herself is just plain boring.

What three words best describe Carolyn McCormick’s performance?

    very old lady

Was Catching Fire worth the listening time?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

The reader's voice sounds like a significantly older woman, not that a 17 year old would be better, but there has to be a happy medium.

While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would probably add more vampires and actual action.

Would you recommend Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, because it does use many primary sources.

Do you think Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Maybe. I would be interested to see what happens after the end. Could be an interesting adventure
