Interesting, funny, satisfying.

Let me explain, some of the stories are really great. They range from serious to silly, and I have to say that I enjoyed each of them. Some of them aren't as strong as the others, but that's to be expected with a short story collection from different authors. I'll admit that I got the book largely because of Scalzi's short story (which is good by the way) , but my favorite of the lot has to be "The Evening Line" by Mike Resnick. It was just so over the top that I caught myself laughing out loud every couple minutes. Definitely slapstick but what can I say, right on my level. "The Lady Astronaut" by Mary Robinette Kowal is also one of the better stories, quite touching to be honest. All of the stories were good, but I do think that only a couple of them will get re-listened too.

Hmmm. Hard to say because it's a short story collection. There's something in here for everyone though.

There are so many different narrators that it's hard to quantify. I will say that most of them do a fantastic job.

Nope, I preferred ti split it up by stories while walking the dog.

Nothing except to say that you should give it a try if you are at all interested in Short Stories. The ones here are pretty entertaining.

I believe they are pretty equal, but as a person that does a lot of commuting on the subway I find the audio book to be more convenient. Plus I can listen to it while jogging.

He's a good narrator that gets the story across without seeming to hammy or boring.

Scalzi is a pretty good author for fun sci-fi. Nothing extremely academic in his writing, but I love it! Give "Old Man's War" a try and if you like it then pick up all of the human division. Better yet, just buy all of the Human Division, it's only 69 cents (for subscribers) an episode!

The story itself is quite good, although (and maybe I'm being naive) I have a hard time believing a lot of it.

I'd say this is one of his lesser works. Nothing really wrong with it, but not a whole lot that is amazing.

Honestly, no I have not. The narrator did a pretty great job in my opinion and I would consider listening to another of his in the future.

It's a good story, but King can be a bit.... ham handed with the characters. Very white hat/black hat. You know where everyone is from the get-go with this one. Worth a listen because, hey it's King. But I'd say start with his other, better works before getting this one.

Sure, I love relistening/rereading books and have no problems at all with the quality of this one.

It's a King classic. Enjoyable from start to finish.

There wasn't a whole lot of variation in the characters. Don't get me wrong, the narrator does a great job reading the book, but there isn't a huge amount of variation in the individual characters' voices.

I tend to get larger books, so it would have been impossible to finish it in one setting. Did I want to listen more regularly when I had to do something else? Did I want to keep listening? Yes!

A good, solid book and reading. If you are a fan of Stephen King you won't be disappointed in this one!

I have and I will! The narrator is amazing, giving each character their own feel and personality. He does accents, inflections, and tones of voice all very well. Seriously an amazing audio book.

The ending, moved me to tears. If you don't cry a little then you aren't human.

The best audio book out there, bar none. If you only choose one book to listen to, this should be it. Don't let the SF label put you off, great read with a good message.
