Would you consider the audio edition of The Judge to be better than the print version?

I have not read the book, but the audio version is super good! The narrator is great with the voices. I loved his Southern accents!

What did you like best about this story?

The views of the different religions. Randy Singer had to do a TON of research to write this book, and it paid off.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The cave scene toward the end of the book.

If you could take any character from The Judge out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Judge Finney. I would love to hear stories about his cases and life as a judge. But, it would be fun to spend time with the Swami, too! I loved his character!

    Any additional comments?

Randy Singer proved that a book can be exciting, suspenseful and, at times, funny ... without offensive language. I highly recommend this book as well as any of the others he has written. I would have given it more stars if you offered them!

I love Robert Whitlow's books, and this is his best ... so far! Since I live in the South, I am familiar with some of the locations he uses in his books. He is an expert at weaving together a Christian message and an exciting and believable legal drama. I love that he made his main character, Tom Crane, a strong, confident attorney but at the same time he was a Southern gentleman with manners! I definitely recommend this book!

Charles Martin definitely has his own style of writing. I really enjoyed The Mountain Between Us ... what a huge twist at the end! So, I decided to trying Chasing Fireflies. It started out very difficult to read due to the horrible child abuse. I loved the character of Sketch, but my heart broke for him. I almost stopped listening. But, I am so glad I continued. Again, the ending has a huge twist, but it was so worth it! This story is a great example of "life is not fair" but God is still on the throne and is always in control. I would give this book 4 1/2 stars if possible.

I enjoyed this book. The problems these ladies faced are as common today as during the war. This was my first book by Robin Hatcher, and I will definitely seek out her books again. I love reading Christian fiction. You can still have the great stories but without all the foul language that does not add anything to the message. The narrator has the perfect voice for this type book. I encourage others to read this and enjoy!

In this heartwarming novel, Greg Kincaid, the best-selling author of A Dog Named Christmas, revisits the early life of one of that book’s protagonists and brings us a holiday tale of redemption, hope, and forgiveness. It’s 1962, and as Christmas approaches so does one of the worst snow and ice storms in Kansas history. Without utilities and emergency services, it is a dangerous time for the residents of Cherokee County. For the McCray family, it is even worse.

This is a very good, heartwarming story about a dog and those folks whose lives he touches. I would have given this book 4-1/2 stars if possible because there is a four-letter word in there twice. Very disappointing as this was described as a family story. It certainly did not add to the story. I don't appreciate this language and certainly do not want my grandchildren to hear it. Other than that, I enjoyed it very much. I'm taking a chance and listening to the next book ~ A Dog Named Christmas. Hope it turns about to be a true family book.

From a "master of suspense" (Library Journal) and writer of "heart-whamming" fiction (Publishers Weekly) comes an all new suspense collection by James Scott Bell. In the full-length novella One More Lie, high-flying divorce attorney Andrew Chamberlain is on top of the legal world. He buys his suits in Beverly Hills and wins his cases in court. But one day he's approached by a friend to handle the split with his wife. That's the day things start to go very wrong for Andrew Chamberlain...up to and including murder.

Would you try another book from James Scott Bell and/or Basil Sands?

No. I have listened to some of James Scott Bell's before and liked them. Basil Sands did a good job of narrating.

Would you ever listen to anything by James Scott Bell again?

Not now. I was VERY disappointed in this book. It was way too short and did not tie up all the loose ends. The 3 short stories at the end were OK, the one about the mafia being the best one.

    Any additional comments?

Add another 100+ pages to the book and finish the story!

David Adams, an independent political candidate, who happens to be a fiercely devoted Christian, is positioned to be Florida's next governor when a serendipitous meeting drastically changes his course. Throw into the mix a beautiful political chief, a team of bumbling power hungry crooks, and a plethora of unexplainable events that can only be attributed to the power of God and there you have In God We Trust - a roller-coaster ride of unexpected thrills, intrigue, danger, and romance.

Would you try another book from Lenora Gauthier and/or Lenora S. Gauthier?

    No.

If you’ve listened to books by Lenora Gauthier before, how does this one compare?

    This was my first.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I usually like it when the author narrates because they know where they want emphasis placed in conversations and situations. Ms. Gauthier did an OK job of narrating. She did not change her voice for different characters. And, the quality of the narrating was extremely poor. When she would raise her voice, as if a character was shouting, it sounded like she was either in a phone booth or a warehouse.

Do you think In God We Trust needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, she needed to finish this book. It ended too abruptly. The story was a bit far-fetched to begin with. There were loose ends that could have been tied up in this book. I would not listen to a sequel.

    Any additional comments?

Get more experience and provide an ending. I don't like wondering what happened.

If you could sum up Apocalypse Dawn in three words, what would they be?

    Thought-provoking, action

What other book might you compare Apocalypse Dawn to and why?

Left Behind because this is a book about prophecy.

What about Steve Sever’s performance did you like?

He did a phenomenal job! I love the way his voice was altered when he was talking on speakers. He also did a great job with the Southern accents.

    Any additional comments?

The story is really good, and I like Mel Odom's writing. There were some Scriptural issues that were disappointing.

What made the experience of listening to Illusion the most enjoyable?

With Frank Peretti being the author and the narrator, it brings the book alive. He puts the emphasis where he intended it to be.

Have you listened to any of Frank Peretti’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

We have listened to several of his books. Monster was my favorite ... until Illusion. Frank Peretti narrated both of these books. Illusion has such a great story and ending.
