The Malazan Empire simmers with discontent, bled dry by interminable warfare, bitter infighting, and bloody confrontations with ancient and implacable sorcerers. Even the imperial legions, long inured to the bloodshed, yearn for some respite. Yet Empress Laseen’s rule remains absolute, enforced by her dreaded Claw assassins. For Sergeant Whiskeyjack and his squad of Bridgeburners, and for Tattersail, their lone surviving mage, the aftermath of the siege of Pale should have been a time to mourn the many dead. But Darujhistan, last of the Free Cities, yet holds out.

What would have made Gardens of the Moon better?

This book has no story, confusing plot.

What was most disappointing about Steven Erikson’s story?

There wasn't a defined good side or bad side. No plot. Just a bunch of made up funny names of creatures that you didn't know what they were or what they did.

    The reader was very good.

What could Patrick Rothfuss have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

There needs to be some action. It was just a lot of building and never reached the end.

Have you listened to any of Nick Podehl’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No. He did well.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The first two books were great. This one had a very poor story line. The addition of the male voice was terrible. It was almost like veronica was trying to copy the twilight series. All the over descriptive terms, dragging out how his eyes looked and made people feel.
This book was a huge let down.
Also, who kills off the main person. Blaaaa

What was most disappointing about Veronica Roth’s story?

    Killing off Tris.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Emma Galvin and Aaron Stanford ?

    Aaron wasn't needed.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    No

    Sorry, a wast of money.
