Committed is a very different book than Eat, Pray, Love, however, it is just as good. That said, I would only recommend this book to people who are interested in learning about marriage - how it came to be, how the church got involved, etc.

Probably on the lower end. But, it's because there are recipes in the book. It's difficult to listen to recipes as a 'book'. Additionally, it would be extra difficult to cook from a verbal recipe. However, the book does have an accompanying .pdf that I printed and cooked from. All of the recipes I've tried are delicious!

It's the same caliber as her other books. As I stated, it's difficult to listen to recipes. I've enjoyed all of Mireille's books.

To enjoy the nuances of recipes and cooking. To let go of being so mechanical about it and appreciate the colors, smells and seasons of your ingredients.

The trainer...he was so clever!

Not sure. He seemed to be an average reader. He did a good job, but wasn't hugely expressive.

This is more of a historical account of what occured than a novel - in my humble opinion.

The content was incredibly useful and accurate. I began noticing things with my teenager and a problematic co-worker right away - it became much easier for me to know how to approach them (or change the approach I started with) and when I needed to purse an issue further. I revisited some parts of the book two and three times because it was so useful.

This is more of an instructional book - not a book with a story line.

Okaaay...so the narrator has a seriously robotic voice. I thought it was being read by a computer at first. You should definitely listen to the sample before you buy this. That said - you can understand each and every word he says. The funniest part of the book is when the narrator...talking about criminals, FBI interviews, merging with other cultures of the world, etc...in his robotic voice...says "I give hugs freely!"

That two messages are being sent when someone is talking to you - physical and verbal. Once you can read the verbal you should take it as information, not as personal compliments or insults.

This book is light and funny and I couldn't really tell what the story was. Probably because she's a comedian and her point is to be entertaining. Not a serious book. It's perfect if you are looking for a light, easy, quick read that will make you smile.

She's funny! She speaks funny and writes funny. When you get to hear both at once...it's even better!

Rambling...

Sandra gives a first person account of life on a ranch in Arizona near the New Mexico border. It reminded me so much of my time there... She reads the book as well so you feel like your grandma is telling you stories about when she was little. I would recommend this book to anyone who misses their life on a ranch.

Well written, but depressing. Had I known that before I bought it, I would not have bought it. That was my fault though. The reader does a great job with voices and pace.

Gotta love Louis L'Amour books - such quick easy reads! This one dragged on a bit, but if you are reading the series, you need to read this one anyway. :-)

I really liked the different views this book presented. Never again will I sit down mindlessly - without making that choice consciously - to eat a meal without looking at it and taking in the beauty. I have recommended this book to 3 others already.

What a cool book! I really enjoyed how it felt like the author was talking to me as opposed to lecturing me. I have already applied some of the little things she talks about that I never thought of and am enjoying them. :-)
