Jo Marie Rose first arrives in Cedar Cove seeking a sense of peace and a fresh start. She purchases a local bed-and-breakfast - the newly christened Rose Harbor Inn - ready to begin her life anew. Yet the inn holds more surprises than Jo Marie can imagine. Her first guest is Joshua Weaver, who has come home to care for his ailing stepfather. The two have never seen eye to eye, and Joshua has little hope that they can reconcile. But a long-lost acquaintance from Joshua's high school days proves to him that forgiveness is never out of reach and love can bloom even where it's least expected.

What would have made The Inn at Rose Harbor better?

The story line was sickly sweet.....

Has The Inn at Rose Harbor turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Absolutely

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I downloaded this book because I love Lorelei King but she could not save this book!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I made it 2/3 of the way through the first downloaded section before I gave it.

    Any additional comments?

I do not understand why this book got such great audio reviews. It could be that Debbie Macomber's previous books were terrific and people listened to this with "rose-colored" glasses. I would be hesitant to try another with this same author. Just not my taste.

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des RĂªves, and it is only open at night.

What did you like best about The Night Circus? What did you like least?

Try as I might, I could not immerse myself in this audiobook despite the excellent narration by Jim Dale. The story line was plodding and seemingly endless, and the descriptions smothered the book. The book was not for me but others may love it.

When Samuel and Martha are sent to Norway to live with their Aunt Edna after their parents' deaths, they soon learn her most important rule: NEVER - UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - GO INTO THE FOREST. She doesn't offer an explanation, but Samuel suspects it might have something to do with a strange guidebook he finds in her atttic, The Creatures of Shadow Forest.

My thirteen old daughter LOVED this audio book- her only disappointment is that the next Samuel Blink and the Runaway Troll does not have an audio version!! Hopefully there will be one soon!
