I've never liked to read books. Listening to books has been great. It has made commuting so much nicer!!

What did you like best about Another Piece of My Heart? What did you like least?

The narration of the book was just not good. It was so hard to believe that these characters were from California when Jane Green was reading with such a strong accent. It drove me crazy throughout the book. I loved the story but couldn't wait for it to be over because of the accent just did not fit the characters.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I did not like the performance at all. Jane Green's accent made it very difficult to believe. If the book had a setting in London, it would have been fine. It didn't. These characters were all from the US. They should have had American accents.

Drop in at 5-B Poppy Lane, where you’ll get a chance to visit with Helen Shelton; her granddaughter, Ruth; and Ruth’s husband, Paul. They’ll offer you a cup of mulled cider and the story of how they met – and they’ll share Helen’s breathtaking adventures during the Second World War.

    Overall

If you have read 5B Poppy Lane & Cedar Cove Christmas, you have this book. It is both book combined in a compilation. I was disappointed that I bought this and then while listening to it realized I had read both books already! I thought it was a new book.

Knitting and life. They're both about beginnings - and endings. That's why it makes sense for Lydia Goetz, owner of A Good Yarn on Seattle's Blossom Street, to offer a class called Knit to Quit. It's for people who want to quit something - or someone! - and start a new phase of their lives.

Her books are so good. They leave you feeling so good after listening to them. This was the first one I had listened to that was narrated by Delilah. I must say, she was excellent. You could hear the characters smile in her voice. It was very well read!

Stephanie Plum once again takes to the mean streets of Trenton, NJ, armed with attitude (not to mention stun guns, defense sprays, killer flashlights, and her untrustworthy .38) to find Kenny Mancuso, who recently left the army, inadvertently shot his best friend, and is on the run in violation of a bond.

Stephanie Plum, Trenton, New Jersey's favorite pistol-packing, condom-carrying bounty hunter, is back and on the trail of a revenge-seeking waitress who's skipped bail. With the help of 73-year-old Grandma Mazur, ex-hooker Lula, a transvestite musician named Sally Sweet, and the all-too-hospitable, all-too-sexy Joe Morelli, Stephanie might just catch her woman.

    Mike says: "Narrator was great!"
    "Great Story, Narrator lacked something"
    Overall

I loved this book! The only thing that I didn't really care for was the narrator. She was lacking the Jersey accent that we all know Stephanie has. Good thing the storyline was so enjoyable, otherwise I probably wouldn't have finished the book.

High school sweethearts Holly and Gerry were the kind of married couple that could finish each other's sentences, and even when they fought (like over who would be the one to get out of bed to turn off the light each night) they laughed. Holly didn't know where she'd be without Gerry. No one did. And that's how "The List" started...as a joke. If anything were to happen to Gerry, he'd have to leave Holly a list of things she must do in order to make it through the day in one piece.

I read this only because the movie was coming out. It was such a touching story about love after death. I was worried that I was going to cry through the whole thing, but it became more hopeful about a third of the way through. I can tell the movie is going to be way different. Hopefully, it is still as good as the book.
