Another great thrilling adventure from Cussler and Brown. This was very close to home as I love in Australia, narrator Scott Brick accents Aussie accents were quite funny, in all he gave a good performance, I think I'm getting used to him now. Well worth the credit is you are a lover of Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala and the NUMA team. There was only one thing missing in all of his books Clive Cussler himself appears somewhere only a short line but there, he wasn’t shame that always brings a smile to my face when he makes an appearance.
Well this was interesting, I should have read the blurb on this one. It was a good FBI storyline however it could have been shorter. Interesting reading/listening about gay/bi-sexual men exploring their emotions etc. Narration was good.
This is a beautiful romance, reminded me of the film Somewhere In Time. The characters are wonderful and the ending just perfect. The narrator did a wonderful job, this is a great feel good read.
Matthew has done it again! What a fast paced book I was not expecting what the story was about (no spoilers) I love Sean Mangan's narration of his books he does them so well.
What a roller coaster of a ride and a new heroine to boot.
I really enjoyed this audiobook the narrator James Marsters, sounded just like I imagined Harry to be a really grumpy laid back wizard. The story was gripping especially as Harry is not able to use his magic powers because of something in his past. Harry does really well with what he has on hand to deal with the demons and is handed back his powers under watchful eyes. I am looking forward to Harry’s other adventures and the great narration.
This was my first Marie Force book and I loved it. The storyline is gripping with the murder of a US Senator being found brutally murdered and dismembered. Found by his best friend Nick. The Detective Sergeant who is assigned to the case needs this as she is dealing with her demons from a previous case. This is where the love story comes in as Nick and Sam had had a one night stand 6 years previously in which Nick lost the love of his life being her. The story is full of twists and turns, secrets and deception. The ending just blew me away fantastic listen.
This book had me from the start, the narration was fantastic. Dave is a retired NYPD cop with a history and one bad case where I presume he was nearly killed and he moved to the country with his 2nd wife Madeline. Dave has a son whom he seems estranged from and another son who died. Dave craves a bit more excitement than watching the asparagus grow. His wife seems quite content. Dave gets sucked into just one more case because of his talents for working out puzzels. I won’t go into the storyline you can read it. He makes a lot of progress on the murders, many interesting characters twists and turns. He thinks nothing of letting his wife know his whereabouts etc., job comes first. Great suspenseful read.
I really enjoyed this book the first in the Michael Bennett series, being introduced to his wife with terminal cancer and his brood of 10 adopted kids. I liked how the story melds his job as a Detective and hostage negotiator. The different narrators and I loved the sound effects it makes the story so real. Now, onto the next book in the series. The narrators were great.
Well I have to admit that I am amazed that I finished the trilogy, but I had to find out the ending for all mankind. Again it’s hard going, finding out who’s who, the chamber of dreams & other Atlanteans past lives. Dorian killing Ares 100 times really! This book is set in space like Star Wars etc. many books fall into some of the themes. They David falls into the first ring of Saturn and meet what I would call the Borg from Star Trek wanting to assimilate everything that does not comply. David & Kate are reunited to a brave new world or whatever. The books fall into many other books that I have read and SyFy movies however this was really hard work comprehending it.
What a wonderful beautiful story, a married woman meets her soul mate, then lover and her reason for being for 4 days. Whilst her husband and two children are away a stranger appears at her door a photographer asking for directions turns into a true love affair and he asks her to come away with him they are destined to be together for time. But she will not leave her husband or children as it’s her duty to stay and care for them maybe a little scared of what the future holds. He sends her the photos he took of her that day at the bridge where every year on her birthday she pulls them out and remembers him. She loves her husband but in a different way. When her husband dies after a time tries to find him but he has died a mysterious letter appears at her door from solicitors advising her of this fact enclosed is a letter, the chain he wore around his neck and the camera. She died several years later around 67 maybe of a broken heart she and left a letter for her children telling them about her love & sacrifice. I wonder how many women can relate to this story. The narration was just right.
Well I’m on the 2nd instalment of this series, again it’s fast paced and confusing. Who are the good guys same conspiracies. With planet earth on the verge of mass human extinction…I always wonder what they survivors did surrounded by the dead and dying and rotting fresh….just a thought. Then the saviour…..Ares the evil one; can the remaining humans be saved….the ending at least makes sense as to what is happening who is who…
Again the narration was great.
