Hell Island does not appear on any maps. It is a secret place where classified experiments have been carried out. Experiments that have gone terribly wrong. When all contact with the island is inexplicably lost, four crack Special Forces units are dropped in. Their mission is to land on Hell Island and discover what has happened. Nothing can prepare them for what they find there. You could say they've just entered Hell. Only that would be wrong. This is much, much worse.

I liked this audiobook, just as well it's fiction. It's fast, full of blood, chills and pulse-pounding action. Characters are all there from Reilly's previous books. Great short listen. Sean Mangan does a fantastic job with the narration, always makes for a great exciting listen.

Tyler Locke's routine commute on a Washington State ferry is interrupted by a chilling anonymous call claiming that his father has been kidnapped and that a truck bomb is set to detonate on board in twenty minutes. When Tyler, a former army combat engineer, reaches the bomb on the boat's car deck, he's stunned to find classical languages expert Stacy Benedict waiting for him. She's received the same threat and her sister has also been taken.

When brilliant archaeologist Dilara Kenner is contacted by Sam Watson, an old family friend who says that he has crucial information about her missing father, Dilara abandons her Peruvian dig and rushes to Los Angeles to meet him. But at the airport, Sam speaks instead of Noah’s Ark—the artifact her father had long been searching for—and the possible death of billions. Before Sam can explain, he collapses. With his dying breath, he urges Dilara to find Tyler Locke—a man she’s never heard of.

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Wonderful, I was procrastinating reading this book as I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer late last year, and felt it may be to much of a trigger. This was a wonderful story of how cancer affects young lives, their families, themselves their fears & young love. Cancer is so insidious in who if effects and at what age, kids diagnosed with cancer grow up so fast and have a strength we can't comprehend or envisage. It was beautifully written and I went through a box of Kleenex tissues fell in love with the characters, so glad I did read it. As they say in the book Cancer Sucks at any age! The narration was very good.

This is the second book and again I loved it. Ryan and Taryn's journey is yes; a journey. It
had everything joy, grief heartache, love, betrayal, jealously and loyalty. Again Madeleine Maby did a fantastic job with the narration. Following the lives of the other characters and all the shit that follows Ryan around OMG is this it is like? This is a great romantic and stress filled story but well worth the read or listen great happy ending..

Written by cancer physician, researcher, and award-winning science writer Siddhartha Mukherjee, The Emperor of All Maladies is a stunning combination of medical history, cutting-edge science, and narrative journalism that transforms our understanding of cancer and much of the world around us. Mukherjee examines cancer with a cellular biologist's precision, a novelist's richness of detail, a historian's range, and a biographer's passion.

I was hesitant about listening to this book as I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer last August and just finished my Chemo, so I was a little raw and thought it may upset me. This book takes you through the history of cancer from the Egyptians to date. It looks at the discovery of the x-ray, the early treatments for many common illnesses and their cures early on and today. Chemotherapy and all the different connotations to find the right doses for each individual cancer. I found this book absolutely fascinating and glad that so much progress has been made with the treatments and chemotherapy. It did not set off any triggers and I was left feeling amazed & humbled. The narrator did a great job.
