In Hold Me Tight, Dr. Johnson shares her groundbreaking and remarkably successful program for creating stronger, more secure relationships. The message of Hold Me Tight is simple: Forget about learning how to argue better, analyzing your early childhood, making grand romantic gestures, or experimenting with new sexual positions. Instead, get to the emotional underpinnings of your relationship.

I found the to be great content. But not being able to underline, not being able to easily go back and read previous pages while thinking about the exercises, made this a real limitation on audio book. If this is your only way to get this material, grab it. Otherwise grab a "BOOK" copy and thumb it madly.

Jake Sullivan is a licensed private eye with a seriously hardboiled attitude. He also possesses raw magical talent and the ability to make objects in his vicinity light as a feather or as heavy as depleted uranium, all with a magical thought. It's no wonder the G-men turn to Jake when they need someoneto go after a suspected killer who has been knocking off banks in a magic-enhanced crime spree.

Where does lively writing end and great narration begin? I don't know, but the true voices of a deep-throated ex-con and an Oaklahoman school girl come shining through in this light and fun piece of fiction. Pacing is great and it left me wanting more.

In this Hugo-nominated novel, an alien walks into a museum and asks if he can see a paleontologist. But the arachnid ET hasn't come aboard a rowboat with the Pope and Stephen Hawking (although His Holiness does request an audience later). Landing at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, the spacefarer, Hollus, asks to compare notes on mass extinctions with resident dino-scientist Thomas Jericho.

A great story filled with interesting ideas and fascinating characters. The author does a brilliant job at bringing the City of Toronto to life, but the narrator does miss some of the local flavour (his french-canadian accent is cringe-worthy). That minor nit aside, as it would only bother a local, definitely worth a listen.

Dark fantasy goes hardboiled in Book II of the hard-hitting Grimnoir Chronicles by the New York Times best-selling creator of Monster Hunter International. The Grimnoir Society’s mission is to protect people with magic, and they’ve done so—successfully and in secret—since the mysterious arrival of the Power in the 1850s, but when a magical assassin makes an attempt on the life of President Franklin Roosevelt, the crime is pinned on the Grimnoir.

This is the first time I've ever looked for books based on a narrator. Bronson Pinchot is note perfect for a 30's gangster and a southern girl both. Amazing. Can't wait until Larry writes volume 3!

In today's fast-paced networked economy, professionals must work harder than ever to maintain and improve their business skills and knowledge. But technical mastery of your discipline is not enough, assert world-renowned professional advisors David H. Maister, Charles H. Green, and Robert M. Galford. The key to professional success, they argue, is the ability to earn the trust and confidence of clients.

This is a classic adventure tale set far down in the briny deep. Captain Nemo hunts the terrifying and mysterious monster that has already wrecked ships which disturbed its slumber. A scary, illuminating, and exciting listen for all ages, this story has achieved almost mythical status, and Jules Verne's great writing style makes the truly unbelievable seem entirely feasible: and utterly absorbing.

Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Now the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers the fifth book in his spellbinding landmark series - as both familiar faces and surprising new forces vie for a foothold in a fragmented empire.

What a wonderful tale. The narration is excellent. The one suggestion I would have is that George Martin uses punctuation to indicate when a (usually true but unacceptable) response is one that a character wants to say but doesn't. That subtlety is lost in the audio version, but could be remedied through some clever sound engineering, i.e. using some echo to characterize an inner voice.
