A well articulated book from what seems to be a master communicator and an intellect. Secretary Rumsfeld certainly knows how to make an argument. It is difficult however to imagine that in this century with all the intelligence mechanisms and technology available to the US war decisions that led to the perish of hundreds of thousands of human beings were made on the intuition of a President and his Secretary of Defense. This book could have been an excellent reading/hearing if it was trimmed significantly to eliminate the repeating unnecessary in your eyes/ears chest beating by the Author. He really did not have to do this as it was implicit in the facts stated. He also wasted too much time and effort in trying to create a script for a financial thriller by repeatedly trying to show how scared he was that Bernie would plant a bomb under his hood. No kidding...that sounded like reading a Mafia novel. Ironically, in the interview Bernie gave from prison he claimed the Author was irrelevant!! Could have done a better job...

I downloaded this book thinking that I will be hearing a book in English language about Ambani only to discover that the book is read in a non-English language. Unless you are a fluent Indian language speaker, don't waste your money. Message to Audible: since you are now selling non-English language books, kindly highlight the language of each Audible book so that long time Audible customers (6 yrs) like myself don't get disappointed.

A book about common sense.. It's the best answer to the famous saying "don't be silly." It is true that "small signs of disorder..can be tipping points." The key question is obviously how to distinguish between a tipping point and a silly matter. This is where the book gave some insights. Worth the time, and the money..

A book with good insights into the M&A business. Good historical perspective and valuable lessons to those who have Wall Street aspirations. The Author however spent more time than he should have on irrelevant matters - maybe in an attempt to spice the book - but winded up diluting what could have been otherwise an excellent book.

This book has nothing to do with mergers and acquisitions...nor with the investment banking culture. The title is grossly misleading. The book is a poor quality attempt to create an erotica story. Not worth the money, but more important not worth your time..if what you are seeking is some insight into the M&A world.

Great book to hear. Broad overview of history of economics. Well written and interesting to hear. Well done for the author and the narrator.
