    Recommended to friends because of the extremely "listenable" voice of Penelope Keith and the wit and story-line by the author

    Penelope's voice.....


    What about Penelope Keith’s performance did you like?

    Friendly voice - seems to always "smiling" as she speaks - an important quality for a reader


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The very first mention of the words "Mrs Raisin" (strangely enough).


    Any additional comments?

    This series caught my attention because the name "Mrs Raisin" is the same as my mothers! I always thought while growing up that the surname "Raisin" would be a bit of a cross to bear....but now I see that it is one of which I can be proud! Mrs Raisin is my hero!(Both the literary one and my dear Mum)......Chris Raisin
