I was glad when this book ended, the story just didn't seem to go anywhere or have a point. It jumped around from different characters and didn't hold my interest much. The ending was really disjointed and unsatisfying. I enjoyed the narrator though, that and the fact that I paid for it were probably the only reasons I listened to the entire thing.
I enjoyed this book more than I was expecting too. It was really very touching. I liked the little touches of music and sound effects, I find them annoying in some books but in this one they are very fitting and actually add to the listening experience. I enjoyed the narrator's voice too. I highly recommend listening to this one.
Yes, this book is more geared towards men but as a woman I still found it very practical and informative. It even made me laugh, I enjoyed listening to it. It also made me realize that I needed to focus more on strength training at the gym (I was mostly doing cardio). I can already see a difference! It's not so much a diet as just a common sense healthy way of life.
I enjoyed listening to this book. It took a while to get used to the narrator's voice when she does the husband and son's voices. My mom also listened to it and really liked it.
This might just be my favorite audible book I've listened to yet. The story (I should say stories...from Greece to Detroit to San Francisco and the three different generations) was so interesting, the writing was great and the narrator was amazing. I couldn't stop listening to it, yet didn't want it to end. I have no idea what to listen to next, this book is a hard act to follow! I highly recommend it.
