What made the experience of listening to Ironhand the most enjoyable?

The fact that I had just fished the first book and it didn't really end. This book was really the second half of the first book.

What did you like best about this story?

    Spout.

What does Jim Dale bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings the characters to life in a way that I never could. He has an understanding of the different dialects and accents.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

If destiny was a choice, could you make it?. or

"Blimey, If he's one of us, we're really in trouble".

    Any additional comments?

    Looking forward to #3.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If they were in to this type of book yes. It is a great fantasy story that I am sure divides the audience with it's love triangle.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mr. Kadam. I love his loyalty and devotion to his family. His is the calming and balancing influence for all the characters.

What about Annika Boras’s performance did you like?

Yes, she reads the story very well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I always hyper focus when I listen to good stories.

A city has many lives and layers. London has more than most. A 12-year-old boy named George Chapman is about to find this out the hard way. On a school trip he's punished for something he didn't do. In a tiny act of rebellion, he lashes out at a small carving on the wall - unexpectedly breaking it off. And then something horrible does happen: a stone pterodactyl unpeels form the wall and starts chasing him. George is already running before his mind starts trying to tell him that this is impossible!

    Story
Where does Stoneheart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a good series, not as strong as Rick Riordan's multiple series but good! The first book took time to build the concept and the characters. We felt that the book didn't really end and left lots of questions. I am glad we were on a long car trip and we had both books one and two. I would have been irritated if I had not had the second book to jump into. But a good time over all. By the way the second book feels more like an ending to a segment of a continuing story.

What did you like best about this story?

The concept of the statues coming to life. Though I believe (as an artist) that the artist infuses personality into each creation not just the ones in human form.

What does Jim Dale bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Jim Dale for me brings accents and dialects to the reading of the story. I would have had no idea how the dialects changed from character to character without him (having grown up in Texas). He reads and performs well!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes. At the time it seems like a simple act.. but later in the story you find out how selfless it was.

    Any additional comments?

Book 2 is a good stopping point. We will be getting book 3 soon.
