"There are no words"
An incredibly powerful and moving account of the power of the human spirit. Moving, horrifying, terrifying, heart breaking. I am so glad I reread this moving book
"Thoughtful and Interesting"
I appreciate Pema Chodron's down to earth, straightforward clarity in speaking to mindfulness and courage. She is matter of fact in speaking to the realities of pain and fear in life but finds a way to bring those realities into a relationship with self. She successfully opens opportunities to engage mindfullness with out attaching to fear or anxiety
"Powerful and Thought Provoking"
This book raises issues that cut to the heart of the silent reality that we have redesigned the delivery of rasism with our criminal justice system. It brings to light the tool mass incarceration plays in ensuring the social control and repression.
"Best listen yet!"
I will listen to this book again! This was incredibly interesting and informative. I have forund myself talking about this book with anyone who will listen. It was engaging, powerful and full of important information about the impact of trauma and the healing power of relationships
"Really Interesting"
This book was really great. It changed how I approach both my work and my life.
I think anyone working in education or with young people should read this book
"Not what I expected"
I would listen to it again as I beleive King drew so many themes and details throughout the story, I would discover things I missed the first time around. I enjoyed the book.
Amberson. I was not a fan of his female characters. They were distractingly bad.
This was a good book, maybe a bit long but worth a listen
"Great!"
This was one of my top 3 favorites. I think I repeated the story a dozen times to anyone who would listen after I finished it.
Favorite scene? I don't know. The narrative was very good and left me feeling the wet, cold, and painful suffering the characters felt. It was an unbelievable story of courage and perseverance, of leadership and loyalty, and of faith and facing fear. It was really good.
I really liked this one!
"Another good book by Suzanne Collins"
I listened to this book immediately after The Hunger Games and it picked up the story and moved beautifully. It got better and better as it went on and had me sitting in my car long past turning the engine off.
It was compelling and entertaining but didn't illicit an extreme reaction. It is a great story, it moves, and it surprised me when I thought I had figured it out. It did a great job of ensuring I knew about the events in the first book without slowing the momentum of the ongoing story.
"Really great book"
What a lovely story about love, loss and finding yourself through family. The characters are so beautifully written and the story uses that to create such powerful images.
I loved Jenna Lamia's performance; loved it! I am not sure I can tease out what I loved more, Jenna's performance or the story. I have listened to so many audiobooks but this was by far the best narration I have heard.
Ceecee , her mother, ...... they were all so beautifully written.
Really enjoyed my time with this book.
"Really liked this book"
Entertaining, engaging, and addictive
It was a great story. It moved quickly and yet, was able to develop characters I could see and believe. My son and I listened to it together and I think that made it all the better.
She assumes a voice that really puts the listener in the story and keeps you engaged.
I didn't have an extreme reaction but I couldn't wait to get back into my car to pick up where I left off.
Great book
