This story is so original and unexpected. There are so many subtle twists and turns that make for a very satisfactory listern.

The rhythm of this story just moves you along - you are gently drawn in and become a believer without any pyrotechnics.

This book is the reason I am an Audible member. I don't think I would have found this little gem, even though it's a Hugo award winner. I'll be listening to more of Mr. Simak's work. Thoroughly enjoyable.

In the mystery category, this book ranks extremely high for plot, writing and narration.

This was a first listern for these narrators - they are both excellent, and make the story come to life.

Don't let the beginning fool you - I kept hearing "Ripped from the Headlines" in my head. The image of Scott Peterson accompanying that thought. But just when I had muttered my last "Ho Hum", wow - I got blindsided with a plot I never saw coming. Woo Hoo, what a ride. Stick with through, and you won't be disappointed.

I would probably recommend this as an addition to the Connie Willis library. While it's not as compelling at Doomsday or Blackout, it's a much lighter approach to time travel. It's a nice easy listen.

The ending was well fleshed out - all the loose ends were tied up.

Not really, First of all, it's really long. But it was well suited to my daily commute.

As mentioned, a lighter, more humerous side to time travel. This might be a good entree into the science fiction side of literature for those who haven't wanted to try it out.

At first I was a bit put off that the story was narrated by a man, even though it is definitely a story about a woman. Overall though, the narration was quite good.

Not the best classic I've listened to. It took a while to get into the story. Overall it was an average story. The best part is that Gaskell brought to view the woman's point of view at that time iin history. Her writing was probably quite cutting edge for her time.

The location and time setting of WWII London

The story moved well with just enough conflict and character/location/time differentiation to keep it interesting. All of the intertwining stories made for a very interesting plot.

This is one of those stories that is quietly told (no violence, sex or action) but somehow grabs you and keeps you thinking about it long after you have finished. The story unfolds via a series of anecdotes and memories that develops the characters in such a perfect way that as you begin to understand, you are brought into the story with great impact. The narration is excellent and the tone is a perfect match to the tenor of the story.

Moby Dick reminds of a baseball game - 15 monutes of action crammed into 3 hours. I didn't know there was that much to say about anything. Just when you think that you've heard everything you want to know about rope, it goes on, and on, and on....

Frank Muller does an excellent job with the narration is good, I just didn't care for the book itself. The best thing - I can cross it off my list of books I must read. If you are doing the classic tour also, I recommend this version. Might want to have a lot of coffee while you're driving.

I purchased this audiobook for a long road trip. I think it's the first time I ever hated to reach my destination. I actually sat in the parking lot for 10 minutes to get to the end of the chapter.

This book has it all - originality, suspense, great characterization, and excellent narration. I was pulled into this story right from the beginning, and it held me until the end. There definitely are sections that are more intense than others, but the story moves very well overall. (I don't want be more specific because it might create spoilers.) It will definitely spur some good discussions, so either listen with someone else, or recommend it to a friend. You will want to talk about it long after the book is over.

I can't say enough about the narration. Each character is presented so well and is so believable, that you find yourself wondering how they accomplished that.

This was my first introduction to Wodehouse and Jeeves. It was so funny that I am now downloading more. Great narration and excellent stories. One of my favorites from Audible!
