Gives you an incite into the era, the events and the man
Pure torture listening to this dialog. My condolences to the narrator. He must have been ill having to speak those lines. Oh My God it was bad! But somehow I made it to the end. And yes the plot is predictable!
The author appears to have done his fact homework. Only a few minor agonies there.
Way to many edits where the script is repeated. The narrative is well done. The story compelling if a bit predictable.
I don't care for this narrator. The sound quality is poor and his accent makes it more difficult to follow. Worse, I wear hearing aides and even I can hear sounds coming from outside the audio booth of the narrator. Disappointed.
The best read from Audible yet! Great history. Compelling story! Great choice!
Great story! I read this long before the SARS or anthrax event. This story is even more compelling in light of those tragedies. Good choice!
Whoever gave this more than one star is unconscious. This narrative sounds like restatement of after-action reports. Obviously Col. Carnet feels special-ops have been under appreciated. The whining gets old. Not one of my better choices.
Uggg! So predictable. So stiff! Avoid.
