The story is ok, bit too much sex thrown in where it doesn't progress the story. But the story is acceptable. The clues to the real killer was there but it wasn't too obvious like the previous book.
I put this on hold three times. Very hard to get through, especially in the beginning. The ending was OK but it took a lot to get the. The story is very fragmented and hard to follow.
The whole first half of the book was a bit slow, then the rest got a bit iffy with the "woe is me" that the heroine kept up.
Overall a good story with great possibilities, but just didn't click for me. I think the characters focused too much on their flaws and not enough on the cases and the investigations. It made the whole book a bit depressing.
The narration was a bit bland (not bad, just not great), so maybe that contributed to the story not working for me.
Molly Harper has done another good job. I like the quirkiness of the heroine.
Wasn't expecting a lot but was pleasantly surprised. Interesting universe, got caught up in the story quickly and it held my interest throughout. On to the next......
I'm really getting to be a Molly Harper fan. This is a bit different than her supernatural fare but just as fun.
Light and funny. A good pass of a few hours. I'll probably continue with the series.
Good plot and well written. There's just something that brought it down a notch. I think it's Harper's weakness, she always has to overcome her fears to be able to act. This gets a bit boring after a while.
I'm not reading them in order but have been very pleased so far. This episode was no exception. Not sure I'd really like somebody out there taking irrevocable justice into their own hands, but it makes for a good story.
Started a bit slow but got much faster about half way through. The only thing that brought it down some was the seeming intelligence level of the bad guys. Their "dialog" was pretty weak.
Overall though I liked it and would recommend it to others.
Cute with a mildly amusing story line. Interesting take on royal interactions and the society's changing attitudes on women leading into modern times.
