What a great book. The characters were well drawn, and I fell in love with Elizabeth, Abigail and Brooks. The plot held my interest. I loved the way Nora Roberts nailed the southern way of life and idioms.
I thought the plot was well thought out and it really held my interest. Of course I knew that Nora Roberts' books ended "happily ever after", but I didn't really expect several of the plot twists and the ending.
My favorite scene was when Abigail told her story to Brooks. I think that the author and the narrator handled the characters emotions well.
I really enjoyed the whole book.
Of all of Nora Roberts' recent books, this is my favorite.
The story was okay but not exceptional.
The narrator spoke almost in a monotone, with little inflection. After a while it the narrator's voice reminded me of fingernails on a chalkboard.
I'm struggling to finish listening to this narrator. I'll avoid books read by her in the future.
I usually love Michael Palmer books but this was just . . . bizarre . . . and made no sense.
No problem with the narration but the story didn't make any sense.
I loved this book. I didn't want to stop listening, yet at the same time I didn't want it to end. I love science fiction but was reluctant to read this book because I knew the author was famous for vampire books. I'm glad I overcame my reluctance because this book was so good. I highly recommend it.
