Initially, I was a bit disappointed that this book wasn't based on Raphael and Elena but as I started listening I soon lost my disappointment. The book includes touches on the stories of the other 2 couples from the series, Raphael & Elena and Dimitri & Honor, so we can see how things are going for them. The main storyline is about Jason and the Princess Mahiya. I thought the story was good and the romance grew in a way that was believable for the characters involved. The ending was sweet and even brought out a few tears (happy ones). I'd definitely recommend this book but if you haven't listened the previous Guild Hunter books in the series you should probably listen to them first. :)

I really love this book. I actually love the whole series but of the books so far this one is my fave of the series. Kaldar is awesome and Audrey is perfect for him. Add in a interesting and fun story with lots of action and it just made this a great book!

Audrey grew up in a family of con artists but tries to go straight. She didn't like her life with her family and left it 4 years before. Unfortunately, her family wouldn't leave her alone and came asking for help. She didn't want to but did help them with a job in an effort to get her family to leave her alone permanently. This doesn't work out too well when the item they stole ends up attracting a lot of attention. Audrey tries to go back to her life after the job but ends up getting tracked down by Kaldar.

Kaldar works for "The Mirror" (a secret agency) and is assigned the job of finding the item that was stolen. This leads him to Audrey. He's surprised by her and intrigued to find a woman that has such great skills in his area of expertise (cons and various unhanded skills, lol). He manages to convince her to help find the item as it could cause a lot of destruction if it fell in to the wrong hands. There's also another issue with poor Kaldar's mission because 2 boys, Jack and George (sort of related to him by marriage and from the previous books) decide to stow away with him on his mission. By the time they're found he can't turn back.

This is a very interesting story. The action is pretty constant because they're working against the clock to get the item in time. During this whole thing the attraction between Audrey and Kaldar grows and they struggle with the attraction and figuring out where this will go between them. I loved the banter between them and I was so happy when they finally got to somewhere real.

This was a great story. It had all the good elements for me...romance, action, humor all wound up with interesting characters. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I'd highly recommend this book. 2 thumbs up!!! :)

This was a very good story. I really liked Heidi and was happy to see her story (I have listened to the previous 2 books in the series).

Heidi has 6 shifter brothers but can't shift herself. For shifters (in the world of these books), in order to have kids there has to be 2 male shifters for a human female. Females with shifter blood are pretty much unheard of (Heidi is very, very rare) and the only way she's likely to have kids is to find another shifter male because it's not likely to happen with a human. Since the only shifters she knows of is her family she's not very hopeful on her prospects.

Heidi is a vet and is a kind woman that people tend to like. She gets a call from a hunter that shot something he shouldn't have. What she finds is a shifter that's been shot, a jaguar shifter. She is very interested in getting to know the new shifter and finds herself drawn to him.

Javier had a twin brother and a mate that were both killed years before. He has been chasing the killer for 2 years on a mission of revenge. While chasing the enemy he's shot by a hunter and helped by Heidi. He doesn't trust her at first but has to in the end. He gets permission to stay until he's healed and plans to leave to find the killer ASAP. This is hindered when Javier finds himself attracted to Heidi. He's confused and fights it because he had a mate and lost her. He fights against believing that Heidi is mean to be his because he's afraid it takes something away from his previous mate.

Regardless of his foibles, Javier can't resist Heidi and they end up getting to know each other as he recovers. I really wish the book had been a bit longer and added more in at this point. I wish we'd have gotten more time seeing Heidi and Javier bond and grow the thing between them. We saw some but I think with a little more I might have given this book 5 stars...maybe. Regardless of this I liked seeing them together although there was a little sadness because Javier still felt he had to leave to revenge his brother and late mate.

Things do come to a head when the bad guy finds out where Javier is hiding and comes after him. There's some drama and Heidi's left behind while Javier chases the enemy away during the fight. Everyone is left not knowing how the fight ended and it's kind of sad for a bit. TBH I thought Heidi's brothers were kind of being jerks about the whole thing but whatever. Fortunately Javier survived and I was very happy to see Heidi and Javier's reunion.

This was a very good book. I really liked Heidi and Javier and just wish there had been a little more buildup in their relationship. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series because I'm already planning to buy it. :D

This is a very good story and a great continuation of the series. Genevieve and Bowen make such a good couple that I was happily rooting for them at the end.

Genevieve was a captive of a very evil man, Ian McHugh who was killed in book 1, Never Seduce a Scot. With Ian's death, Genevieve is now free but she has no money or place to go so she's still there when Bowen and the others arrive at the keep.

Bowen was one of the men sent to the McHugh keep to take it over after everything that occurs from book 1. He finds himself fascinated by Genevieve and tries to figure out her story. Once he does he finds he has developed feelings for her but fears she'll always be too wounded to return his feelings.

Genevieve was almost broken when Bowen came and saved her. He was the first man to be tender with her and he shows her what love between a man and woman can be. She comes alive again but there's still a sadness in her because she fears contacting her family for fear they'd reject her for the evil Ian did to her. Bowen feels out that she'll never be truly healed until she reunites with her family so he contacts them without her knowledge.

In the end, Genevieve reunites with her family and leaves Bowen to go back to her Clan. She's happy to see her family and be home but is sad because she misses Bowen. I was really happy with the ending but my only issue is the reason why they ended up back together but I was so happy they got their HEA that it really didn't matter...I was satisfied with the ending.

Very good book. I did like the first book better but this one was still very good and well worth the listen. I'd recommend it. 2 thumbs up! :D

This was a great story. It's a very good continuation of the series that started with Feral Sins. While I admit that I liked the first book best, this one was a close second and great in its own right.

I really liked Jamie's character. She's smart and spunky and deserves a lot better than life has given her. Jamie joined the Phoenix pack with her brother (shortly after the end of Feral Sins). At first she shows an interest in Dante (she used to have a crush on him as a kid) but when he doesn't respond to her hints she backs off and figures it's for the best since she has issues that makes it difficult to get close to anyone.

Dante isn't interested in a relationship, not just with Jamie but with anyone. He was too afraid that it would pull him away from his work and he didn't want to find his true mate because of this. To be honest, there were times in the beginning of the book that my good opinion of Dante (from the first book) took some beatings. He certainly has issues that cause him to suffer repeated bouts of (what I like to call) relationship dumbassedness. We do find out some of his issues later which make his actions make more sense which helps. Dante tried to ignore Jamie at first but when he realized he no longer rated her special smiles he found he missed them. When he saw her out with some other guy he just couldn't contain himself and went after her.

Jamie and Dante do end up in a relationship but she holds back from him. She's convinced that sooner or later her secret will come out and soon after she'll die. She doesn't want to bring down Dante with her so she tries to maintain a distance so they don't imprint. Dante figures out about her condition but talks Trey in to allowing her to stay for now. Dante starts training her as he trains the enforcers in hopes that it'll give her more control in order to help her.

Jamie and Dante have other issues to deal with as well...like a couple of Exs of Dante's that wont let up and Dante being a workaholic. Also, Taryn's pregnancy from the last book comes to term and she delivers in this book. OMG the delivery room conversation was so damn hilarious, it had me laughing out loud (literally)!!! There's also issues with a packmate that finds her mate but is rejected causing problems.

Just when things seem to be going well for Jamie and Dante there's an attack on the pack and in the fighting Jamie has to shift. Unfortunately, once her wolf is out, she has issues getting back in to her human form. Her wolf wont trust anyone and wont let her shift back so she's stuck like this while Dante tries to help her. In the end a couple of things happen that combine to get her wolf to trust Dante and the story has a great ending.

Overall this was a great book. I'm really loving this series and can't wait for the next installment. I'd recommend this book. 2 thumbs up! :D

This was a great book! I just have to say I am so loving Vlad in this book. Yes he's brooding, arrogant and very overbearing but yet there's deep emotions under there and this book made me wish even more that I could have Vlad for myself (assuming the wish also made him exist ;).

Leila is great in this book. She's just so determined...even when it's not always good for her. She tends to need rescuing at times but yet she kicks ass on her own. I really like her character and she proves herself as a good match for Vlad. When things start out I wasn't thrilled because Leila and Vlad are having problems. She's not willing to keep fielding a cold shoulder from Vlad who seems to be more and more distant. She ends up breaking it off with him and feels she's right about him not caring because he didn't argue or try to stop her (we find out the reasons for this later...did I mention arrogant???).

Maximus ends up escorting her back to the US (and Marty) where she plans go back to her act in the circus. Once there someone tries to kill her and Maximus helps her try to find out who the killer is. Unfortunately he also convinces her that it might be Vlad trying to kill her out of wounded pride for her leaving him. They let everyone believe her dead in an attempt to keep her safer. Vlad soon discovers the deception however and events conspire to bring him back in to Leila's life.

I don't want to go in to to much details but there is a good amount of action as they try to discover who the person is that keeps making attempts on Leila's life. They find out there's a traitor in their midst and have to ferret them out as well. But the main story of course is Vlad and Leila. I just love the emotions and the back and forth between them. They argue and fight but it's only because there's real emotion under it all. There are so many points in the book that had me in happy tears and I just loved hearing their story. The action and romance in the book melded together well and made a hell of a story.

This book was just great and I loved it. I didn't want it to end and can't wait for the next book to come out. I'd highly recommend it. 2 thumbs up! :D

I enjoyed Kitty Rocks the House very much. I love the series and this is a great addition.

The fight with Roman and the End game is part of the story but not a major plot line in this book. A good bit cycles around the issues Kitty and Ben have to deal with (esp after being in London for a while in the last book). There are many things to deal with, the main one being a new werewolf that asks to join Kitty's pack but ends up causing a trouble. But there's also family issues to deal with, both Kitty's and Ben's. Then there's the complication of a Vampire Priest coming in to town trying to get Rick to join their sect and leave Colorado.

And that's not even all that's going on... Needless to say Kitty and Ben's plate are full in the book. Some people may say that the book didn't go anywhere because the fight with Roman wasn't forefront but I felt it was needed to get some of the sub-plots in line (so to speak) and get us ready for more big action to come. There was just so much going on that I couldn't feel it lacking. :D I hope the next book comes out soon because the ending kinda blew my mind; I hate cliffhangers but the book was still great. I'd recommend it. 2 Thumbs up. :)

This was a really enjoyable story. I figured I'd try it since I've enjoyed other Half Moon Hollow books and figured I've give it a try (esp since Audible.com gave to members for free on Valentines day).

Tess and Sam are great together although at first it's kind of hard to tell. This is because they initially meet under awkward circumstances, getting forced to live under the same roof in an underhanded move by Sam's soon to be ex-wife. Neither of them are willing to give in and they end up bashing heads with each other throughout the first part of the story. Their efforts against each other (in a rather fun/brutal prank war) in the beginning are just hilarious. I've always loved Molly Harper's sense of humor in her books and this one hits the humor mark as normal. Along with the story about Sam and Tess there's also interaction with other Half Moon Hollow folk from the other books which adds to the fun.

I liked the way Tess and Sam ended up making friends and then working together. It works well and I enjoyed seeing them grow their relationship. I do wish it had been a longer story though...Although I enjoyed the story and really liked how it ended I wouldn't have minded a little more development at the end of the story when they're finally getting together. That's my only complaint about this story (I almost gave it 5 stars...if it had been a little longer I think I would have gone for 5). I really enjoyed this and would highly recommend it, esp for Half Moon Hollow/Molly Harper fans.

This was a very good story. It's the first one I've read by this author but I've heard so many good reviews I had to try it. The narrator did a great job with it and did wonderful on the Scottish accents. :D

I liked Joss. She had a rough life and lost her family at a very young age. This caused her to not invest in relationships because of the fear of losing more people she loved. She moves in to a flat on Dublin Street as a flatmate to Braden's sister, Ellie (whom I loved...kinda wish she'd had her own book). When Joss and Braden first meet she tries her best to push him away because the feelings and attraction he stirs in her are frightening to someone who hides from any ties.

Braden is great. I think he did the best he could given the issues Joss had...and considering the fact that she wouldn't share her issues with anyone making them harder to get around. Braden gets Joss to agree to a "friends with benefits" arrangement but then keeps doing things that are more personal that something between just "friends". It's actually pretty cool how he manages to get past her defenses.

I was actually pretty pleased for a good part of the book. For a while Joss was doing real well it working at things with Braden. She realized she needed help with her emotional issues and was seeing a therapist. She stopped griping at Braden for behaving like more than friends and their relationship started progressing. For a while, things were going well for them.

But these books always have to have uncertainty and there's some major drama that freaks Joss out in her forward progress on her emotional issues and it breaks up Braden and Joss. Things aren't helped along by some mis-understandings (and 1 outright lie) and I wasn't sure I was liking the direction the story was heading but in the end I really did like it. The ending was really good and tied things up well leaving me with a happy and satisfied feeling once I was done.

Very good book. I'd recommend it and will probably continue with the next in the series when it comes out. :D

This story is great! I just loved it. This is my first book from this author and I was very happy with this first installment of the series and I'll be waiting for the next one to come out. :D

What can I say about Taryn except that she really kick butt. She's an Alpha female and even though she can't shift she's got more dominance than just about any shifter around. This doesn't help her while she's growing up because her Dad saw her in-ability to shift as a horrible flaw and basically made her life crap. Her father was even trying to force her in to a mating with a man he knew just wanted to beat her down and break her spirit. So she didn't have a great life but it doesn't keep her down. She's got a smart mouth and a quick wit but is also funny, kind and caring. I laughed many times through the book at some of the comments flying back and forth between Taryn and other characters.

Trey is a little nuts but I love him anyways. He had a very rough childhood as well and it caused him to have to suppress his emotions for protection. Because of this, he now doesn't have very good access to his emotions or know how to express any he might have. But yet even when he's being an jerk in the story I couldn't dislike him. I like him a lot and could understand his actions. His character was written very well and I was so happy as he found his way through the story, especially as Taryn was able to help him learn...learn how to have fun, how to relax and how to love.

Taryn and Trey only get together initially for a mutually beneficial deal....she gets out of the arranged mating her father was trying to push on her and he'd get an alliance with her father to help with an issue his pack is having. As these things happen, complications set in and things develop. I don't want to spoil the story so I'll just say there are some really great moments in this book. The development of Taryn and Trey's relationship was very well done and I loved seeing it progress. I was thrilled at how Taryn manages to get out of her enemies grasp in the final fight. The story line had numerous surprises and quirks that I feel took it from very good to great. I really loved this story. I'd recommend it and will be buying the next in the series. 2 thumbs up! :D

I loved this book! Eveline and Graeme are a great couple. I loved them together and the story was really good with a real bang up ending! Just awesome. :D

Eveline grew up normal but 3 years before the start of the book she took a fall from her horse. She suffered head trauma as well as exposure to the elements that cause her to take sick and suffer a bad fever that took a while to clear up. When she awoke she was deaf and had trouble adapting to it. People thought she was daft after the injury and fever but once she started realizing more of what was going on she saw that her being seen as "daft" got her out of a promise of marriage to an evil man that she feared greatly. She eventually learned to read lips but didn't speak because she didn't want the marriage threat to come back if it was found out she wasn't daft. Because of this she let the deception go on until one day the King decides he needs to forge an alliance.

The King wanted these 2 clans (the 2 largest clans of his supporters) to forge an alliance and stop a feud that had been going on for 5 generations. He decides to decree a marriage between Eveline and Graeme (even knowing of her injury and supposed daftness) in an effort to stop the feud. Graeme isn't happy about this at first because he has to marry the daughter of his enemy and also (from what everyone thinks) she's daft and can't be a true wife. And as luck would have it (for Eveline), Graeme is totally sweet for a Scottish warrior and clan leader. He decides not to cheat on her even when he doesn't think she can be a true wife and when they meet, he is gentle with her and never takes out any frustrations out on her.

Because it's a decreed marriage and neither clan is comfortable with the other the marriage takes place quickly and Graeme takes her back to his clan's lands. Graeme is very sweet with Eveline from the start but he's not sure how to handle her and wants to get to better judge her faculties before he takes things very far. He figured out early that she's not stupid but he doesn't understand the reasons for her sometimes odd behavior. Eventually he figures out her lack of hearing is the issue and eventually she begins to feel out how to speak again with his help. Once Graeme realizes Eveline isn't daft he wastes no time in consummating the marriage since this whole time he's been fighting his attraction to her. She felt the attraction too and so she was also very willing to make their marriage a true one.

Unfortunately, while Graeme and Eveline were finding each other the rest of his clan (except his siblings) were finding ways to make Eveline miserable while she tried hard to fit in. Graeme tries to shield her from this but that proves impossible to do. Things come to a head with betrayal that puts Eveline in danger and almost plunges both clans in to war. The ending of the book was a major KAPOW! Homerun...out of the park... Seriously!

I am not someone who reads a lot of historical romances (although I have read a few) but this one has convinced me to get the next in the series as well as try some of the other historicals from Maya.

I would highly recommend this book. It's awesome and a wonderful story with a wonderful hero (I totally want a Graeme of my own). 2 thumbs way up! :D
