On a busy Washington morning, the stately calm of the White House is shattered in a deadly terrorist attack on the executive mansion. The president is evacuated to an underground bunker, but not before nearly one hundred hostages are taken. Mitch Rapp, the CIA’s top counterterrorism operative, is sent in to take control of the crisis and determines that the president is not as safe as Washington’s power elite had thought....

Vince Flynn is hands down one of my three favorite authors. I consume his books like a hungry man waiting for his next meal. As the character of Mitch Rapp has developed over the years, we have all become familiar with his pragmatic patriotic views of life. He is the man many of us wish we could be or would be if we could. Our familiarity with Rapp is encoded in the consistency of his behavior and in the sound of his voice.

I have no idea if Vince Flynn envisioned Rapp sounding like George Guidall, but once he did and once we all connected with the master spy, the partnership between the Flynn and Guidall was forged in the mind of the listener forever.

As I said, I love Vince Flynn's writing style and I love his development of the Mitch Rapp Series. I am so pleased that we are finally getting full unabridged versions of his earlier work. But, serving up my long awaited next Mitch Rapp Book without the voices of George Guidall is like serving a hungry man dinner without a plate or silverware. I will eat because I am hungry, but I will remember when I enjoyed a fine dining experience and long for better times with each and every bite!

Vince Flynn gets 5 stars for his writing but the Nick Sullivan gets 3 stars for his [occasional robotic] reading = 4 stars.

You probably think you know a lot about the human body. The reality is that most of us know very little about this miraculous, scientific, and artistic system of anatomy. When it comes to your longevity and quality of life, understanding your internal systems gives you the power, authority, and ability to live a healthier, younger, and better life.

I really enjoyed this audio book. It was a great read sprinkled with satirical humor! It’s a book about how you (your body) works. This is a subject matter that could easily glaze over the eyes of most readers but surprisingly, the authors use very straight laymen’s language absent of confusing medical terms and add enough humor to carry the subject forward. I never felt like I was reading a medical journal, but learned things about my body I never knew but should have known.

The body functions are broken into chapters allowing the reader to skip one section of little interest and play back sections of great personal relevance.

I’m a 51 year old male. This book helped understand that my chronological age has little to do with my physical age. Further, it told me how to take back a few years through simple life style changes.

    I highly recommend this book.
