I enjoyed the book. Not one of the best of hers. The narrator was female and her attempt to change her voice to a male's was laughable. It would have been more enjoyable if she had not tried.

Jake Sullivan is a licensed private eye with a seriously hardboiled attitude. He also possesses raw magical talent and the ability to make objects in his vicinity light as a feather or as heavy as depleted uranium, all with a magical thought. It's no wonder the G-men turn to Jake when they need someoneto go after a suspected killer who has been knocking off banks in a magic-enhanced crime spree.

The preview of the book does not give it justice, nor does the first chapter. Once I got into the book, I couldn't stop. Bronson Pinchot is fantastic. Of all the narrators I have listened to he has to be the best. These books take place in the 30's and I wouldn't normally be interested, however, I was captivated by the story the different outcomes from a historical points, and the characters. As soon as I finished one, I bought the next one. I am listening to the third and last one, and really do not want it to end. I have read Larry Correia's Hunter books and enjoyed them, but these are totally unique.

Dr. Charlotte "Charlie" Stone has dedicated her career as a psychiatrist to exploring the darkest territory of all: the hearts and minds of serial killers. It’s a job she’s uniquely suited for, thanks to the secret talent that gives her an uncanny edge - Charlie can see dead people, whose tormented spirits cry out to her for the justice only she can provide. This blessing - or curse - gives Charlie the power to hunt down and catch madmen and murderers. It’s also turned her love life upside down by drawing her into a hopelessly passionate relationship with the lingering ghost of bad boy Michael Garland.

The story was entertaining and the narrator was very good. However, way too much time was taken up with the main characters (one of them a ghost) having long drawn out conversations when other characters were also involved in the scene.

Five days after Owen Zastava Pitt pushed his insufferable boss out of a 14th story window, he woke up in the hospital with a scarred face, an unbelievable memory, and a job offer. It turns out that monsters are real. All the things from myth, legend, and B-movies are out there, waiting in the shadows. Some of them are evil, and some are just hungry. Monster Hunter International is the premier eradication company in the business. And now Owen is their newest recruit.

I have enjoyed some of the more popular vampire, werewolf, monster books, but this one caught my interest with the first sentence. The books are a fun listen, they keep me entertained and people look at me funny when I laugh out loud (for no reason they can determine). The characters are well written and the narration is excellent. No simple monotone going on and on. I bought this one, then had to have the second and now I am on the third. I am really going to miss these guys when I am through. Hope another one comes out soon.

In "Undead Sublet" by Molly Harper, executive chef Tess Maitland is banned from her five-star kitchen in Chicago to recover from "exhaustion". Choosing a random rental house in Half-Moon Hollow to spend time in, she's unaware that the house comes with a strange man. Even though Sam Masden's ex-wife has rented the house out from under him, the divorce settlement allows him access to it for another ninety days. With Tess unable to go anywhere else, and Sam unwilling, a war of epic proportions is declared - and romantic sparks and heavy pots fly.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes for those who enjoy the romance style with a little spice of the paranormal.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Undead Sublet: A Free Story from 'The Undead in My Bed'?

I loved the first fight in the kitchen with the pots and pans.

What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?

Her rendition was upbeat and lively. I wanted to get back to her story telling.

Who was the most memorable character of Undead Sublet: A Free Story from 'The Undead in My Bed' and why?

They all have to be included, without one of them the story just would not be the same.

    Any additional comments?

I would like to see a sequel to find out how everyone is doing,

Given the importance of what they do, and the controversies that often surround them, and the violent people they sometimes confront, it is remarkable that in the history of this country only four active federal judges have been murdered. Judge Raymond Fawcett has just become number five.... Nothing is as it seems and everything’s fair game in this wickedly clever new novel from John Grisham, the undisputed master of the legal thriller.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I don't regret reading the book, but I just wanted to hurry up and finish so I could get it done and over with.

Would you recommend The Racketeer to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, but with notice that it is slow and predictable.

What aspect of J.D. Jackson’s performance would you have changed?

He was very monotone, he could have switched it up a bit.

Could you see The Racketeer being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    No.
