This book has a lot of great ideas and a lot of great concepts. As a woman I found the authors perspective and the examples he relates as his experience as a child psychiatrist and play therapist hard to translate to my own relationships with the children in my life.
The basic messages are good and worth a listen.
Great book - engaging information on the elements of a good story and how they relate to ones own life with relatable anecdotes from his own experience. An easy and motivating read.
This heartwarming collection of personal stories chronicles the authors personal struggles as a woman, a friend, a sister/daughter/mother, and just as a human being.
While I wouldn't call this a self-help book it is definitely inspiring. Time and time again I found myself re-examining similar experiences from my own life and finding places I could have been more kind or more generous and often with myself as well.
It's a decent book filled with insight but the missing workbooks and all the references to their exercises made it feel like a bit of a ripoff.
The workbooks are available for sale elsewhere.
Lovely, engaging, humorous, informative and easy to relate book.
Anyone with any interest in human nature and why we do what we do is sure to find at least several tidbits in this easy-to-listen book.
