The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

This is truly a great listen from start to finish. There are new characters and old ones that come back into the story which is great. Very engaging book which keeps you on your toes. Great great listen. One of the best of the Mitch series.

Ex-CIA master assassin Court Gentry has always prided himself on his ability to disappear at will, to fly below the radar and exist in the shadows - to survive as the near-mythical Gray Man. But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before. A killer who is just like him. Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry.

Dorian Gray, a beautiful young man, sells his soul for eternal youth and beauty after viewing a picture of himself drawn by artist Basil Hallward. Dorian Gray's picture grows old and corrupt while he continues to appear fresh and innocent. After he kills a young woman, "as surely as if I had cut her little throat with a knife," Dorian Gray is surprised to find no difference in his vision or surroundings. "The roses are not less lovely for all that. The birds sing just as happily in my garden."

For the first time in unabridged audio! A small Kansas town has turned into a killing ground. Is it a serial killer, a man with the need to destroy? Or is it a darker force, a curse upon the land? Amid golden cornfields, FBI Special Agent Pendergast discovers evil in the blood of America's heart.

The main character of the book is still entertaining but not as much as in the other books. The killer here gives you chills and is portrayed very well. It is a good book with a somewhat unexpected ending but satisfying all the same.

This a really good book and a nice introduction to a new character. It is nice to see a main character with flaws and vices and how he tries to battle them while still depended on to perform his tasks that are asked of him.

What can I say. This is a very very very good book. The length of the book is irrelevant as the story takes you in with the characters. I was truly mesmerized with the story and with the fact that there is no way to know how the ending will play out until you finish it. I highly recommend this as a listen.
