Owning a strip club isn't the fantasy most guys expect it to be. With long hours, a staff with enough issues to keep a psych ward in business, and the police regularly on his case, twenty-nine-year-old Cain is starting to second guess his unspoken mission to save the women he employs. And then blond, brown-eyed Charlie Rourke walks through his door, and things get really complicated. Cain abides by a strict "no sleeping with the staff" rule. But being around Charlie challenges Cain's self-control…and it's been a long time since any woman has done that.

In spite of myself, I really enjoyed this one. I love Caine! There are so many times and so Many people that I wanted to yell at in this book.
The friends, the Hero and the heroine. She was so naive and in such a dangerous profession that I am not sure how she survived that long.
The angst in this book kept me on the edge of my seat through out.

He should have left her and never looked back… That's not how things played out for Caine, a nearly one thousand year old Pyte, who should have known better. Instead of walking away years ago, he has been watching over the only human who has touched his heart. He stays to protect her, at least that is what he tells himself. When trouble finds her, he knows that he should just cut his losses and walk away, but there is no fighting the hold the child, who has become a woman, has on him.

Nathan Murphy is pretty much resigned to his bachelor status - until he looks up from his desk to see an all-grown-up Lily walking into his classroom. Of all the women who turned out to be totally wrong for him, she's the only one who felt right. At least until his foolish, immature mistake drove her away. Lily has to admit that time has been more than kind to gorgeous, sexy Nathan. Except there's no room on her full plate for another complication. Especially with a man who broke her heart once before.

This is another good one from Lauren Dane. It is also one of my favorite genres second chance romance. This was not one of those intensely emotional SCAL novels but I like that she still made the hero work for the HEA

Susannah finally has a peaceful, calm life and a no-surprises man. Marriage to football superstar Ryan Sanderson was a whirlwind of passion, heat, energy, and excitement, but Susannah got sick of playing second fiddle to his team, watching women throwing themselves at him, and living in terror of the hard hits he took on the field. With their divorce just days from being final, she's already planning a wedding with her new fiance.... Ryan has just ten days to convince his soon-to-be ex-wife to give him a second chance.

When a terror from the past threatens Gin’s friend and body-disposer, Sophia, Gin will stop at nothing to protect her, even if it means walking straight into a killer’s trap. Meanwhile, the rocky romance between Gin and Owen reaches a turning point - can they reunite and rekindle their love? Or will the things Gin has been forced to do in her line of work as the deadly assassin the Spider keep them apart forever? Assuming, that is, she survives long enough to find out....

I will start of by saying that I am not too pleased with the O.G. situation, that was way too easy.
Other than that, it was Gin at her best. She kicked butt and took names!
I got more of the back story on Sophia and how Jo-Jo met Fletcher and that was cool.
All in all it did not disappoint

Ryan Stone is a less-than-average teenager. He doesn't have fancy clothes. He doesn't carry around the latest smartphone and he definitely doesn't have an MP3 player. Instead, he goes to school, does his chores, and dreams of a new life away from Brookfield where he's expected to follow in his blue collar family's footsteps. Hadley Carter is America's Pop Princess. A successful recording artist living her dream with a sold-out tour and a handful of Grammy's there isn't much that she wants for, except love. But finding love on the road is near impossible....

I am conflicted about this book mostly because it is not my usual cup of tea.
I enjoy May- December romances but I prefer when the man is older. This was still a good book though. I believe the author did a very good job of capturing the angst that comes along with first love.
    Worth the credit.
