Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

Would you listen to The Hobbit again? Why?

As soon as I was done with it. I listened to it again. Its just so good.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hobbit?

I love the mishap with the Trolls and of course Bilbo's interaction with Smog.

Which character – as performed by Rob Inglis – was your favorite?

Inglis does an outstanding job with all the voices. Its hard to believe he can do so many. I think I like Gandalf the best.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I think I could listen to it all in one sitting, but its almost 12 hours and who has the time for that? Never the less, you don't have to listen to it all in one sitting to enjoy it properly.

    Any additional comments?

It was amazing and I'm sure I'll listen to it again when I'm done with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy that is...
