What makes a legendary assassin? For John Rain, it was the lessons of love, war, and betrayal he learned in Tokyo in 1972. Fresh from the killing fields of Southeast Asia, Rain works as a bagman under the watchful eye of his CIA handler, delivering cash to corrupt elements of the Japanese government. But when a delivery goes violently wrong, Rain finds himself in the crosshairs of Japan’s most powerful yakuza clan.

Would you consider the audio edition of Graveyard of Memories to be better than the print version?

    I enjoy the unabridged audio.

Who was your favorite character and why?

John Rain. Character is described in realistic situations for the type of employ.

Have you listened to any of Barry Eisler’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. One of the few to successfully write and narrate in character that's fits both

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    John Rain, problem solver

    Any additional comments?

    Author does great job!

New York Times best-selling author Tana French has won the prestigious Edgar, Barry, Macavity, and Anthony awards. As her third novel featuring the Dublin Murder Squad opens, 19-year-old Frank Mackey is waiting in vain for Rosie, who he’s supposed to run away to London with. But when she doesn’t show, Frank leaves Dublin without her—thinking never to return.

Would you try another book from Tana French and/or Tim Gerard Reynolds?

I currently have authors next book in my pre-orders.

Would you recommend Faithful Place to your friends? Why or why not?

Good question, it would not be the top of my list. With that said, I would recommend as a filler while waiting for other releases. I do hope that "The Secret Place" draws me in deeper with its characters and story line.

What about Tim Gerard Reynolds’s performance did you like?

It took a bit to get use to. It was a fairly good performance for this book.

Could you see Faithful Place being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Story would have to show more character depth. I enjoyed all the players in this novel, just was looking for a bit more subsidence from each character.

    Any additional comments?

Please do your own diligence in researching this author and her books. My opinion is that this was not in the upper tier novels that I have previously read/listen to. I could have erred, by not starting at the first book of this series. Henceforth, do you know your own due diligence.

91 year-old Ira Levinson is kept concious after a car wreck by visions of his late wife, Ruth, who recounts stories of their lifetime together. A few miles away, at a local rodeo, Sophia Danko, a senior at Wake Forest, meets a young cowboy named Luke. Ira and Ruth. Sophia and Luke. Two couples who have little in common. Yet their lives will converge with unexpected poignancy, reminding us all that even the most difficult decisions can yield extraordinary journeys: beyond despair, beyond death, to the farthest reaches of the human heart.

What did you like best about The Longest Ride? What did you like least?

Ira's strength, love, and full life of memories of his beloved wife Ruth. How two young (Sophie and Luke) people see the true value in one man's valueless painting, finds meaning in Ira's internal love for his wife and the painting

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Longest Ride?

The auction! What a testament of Ira and Ruth's life.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Two of the top notch narrators. Favorites of mine!

Was The Longest Ride worth the listening time?

Would love to see a movie made of this novel.

    Any additional comments?

The characters from two generations cross paths, with an act of kindness, and concern. Must read for the younger folks to gain prospective of true values our older generation have.

Dr. Emory Charbonneau, a pediatrician and marathon runner, disappears on a mountain road in North Carolina. By the time her husband Jeff, miffed over a recent argument, reports her missing, the trail has grown cold. Literally. Fog and ice encapsulate the mountainous wilderness and paralyze the search for her. While police suspect Jeff of "instant divorce," Emory, suffering from an unexplained head injury, regains consciousness and finds herself the captive of a man whose violent past is so dark that he won't even tell her his name.

Great start that kept me involved throughout. You will find several twists that come out of left field that made this novel (listening) page turning.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Doc, and the man with NO name (have to listen folks, the other character is powerful which we don't get a name until towards the end...

What does Jonathan Davis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Great character separation voices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If it were possible, this is a page turner. Each character brought multiple surprises throughout this book making it that much more interesting.

Would love to see a follow up with the same characters...

Where does Tom Clancy Support and Defend rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Mark Greaney is a good author (Gray Man) and has taken upon a great challenge to keep Tom Clancy's characters alive, and hopefully future novels. This book is not Tom Clancy style of writing. This is a decent book with limited characters and with one story line from start to finish.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tom Clancy Support and Defend?

Ethan Ross character, and Dom's Pursuit to track Ross down.

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

Narrator did a nice job as always with his performance (he is a top notch narrator).

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Liked the start of book.

    Any additional comments?

I will listen to future books by Mark Greaney as I have enjoyed all Jack Ryan and Campus books by Tom Clancy. We can only hope that future books with Clancy's name are written with more of Clancyism...l

What made the experience of listening to The Forsaken the most enjoyable?

Since I have started with book one of this series, I was able to enjoy the characters by having known the history of the series. Great story line not dominated by one or two characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Forsaken?

As I have mentioned, the storylines while lending each character and events is equally enjoyable throughout the entire book. Quinn and his Father Jason, first meeting in countless years was interesting and left unmentioned in previous books.

Have you listened to any of Brian D'Arcy James’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Nice job with his different voices used for each character. Nice listen.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The RANGER's Law and his chief Deputy!

    Any additional comments?

This would make a great mini series... Ace Atkins is a must listen.

Great start, interesting book, not the typical crime novel that one would expect. Kendra's character brings a new perspective in investigative crime novels.

Would you recommend Sight Unseen to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes. Nice change of pace in crime novels.

Which character – as performed by Elisabeth Rodgers – was your favorite?

Kendra. The secondary characters were integrated well into this novel.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. After a quick start, a little fizzle brought down my expectations.

    Any additional comments?

Would listen to a follow up novel involving Kendra Michaels.

Would you listen to Eden in Winter again? Why?

Yes, would recommend listening to the first two books. Eden tied in the early books history to make Eden a must read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Eden in Winter?

Lots of twists in this novel. I would do an injustice if I pointed out my favorite parts for future prospective readers to see. Adam is the main character whio offers the answers to protect his family, Uncle Jack, and his FATHER. How Carla handled what she was dished throughout this novel...

    Which scene was your favorite?

Adams character as a whole kept the pages turning (listening).

Enjoyed all of Richard North Pattersons earlier novels as well. Author has an ability to bring out the best in each character with distinction however small the role may be.

Author does a good job in this book. I have previously stated that Author should consider using multiple narrators in a few of his previous books.
