I just finished listening to this audio book. Story line was pretty good and for awhile it had me hanging on to find out what's going to happen next. However, just when it was getting really good it ended; left me hanging. I hated the ending!!

This is the first time I've heard anything from this author, so I don't know if that's how all her books are or what. But overall, it was ok.

Their romance was a modern-day fairy tale: handsome older millionaire falls for struggling young waitress. Robert swept Elsie off her feet - and into his bed - put a huge diamond on her finger and spirited her away in his private jet destined for happily-ever-after. Eight years later, Elsie Kolstadt realizes the clock has struck midnight. The five-star restaurants, exclusive address and exotic vacations can no longer make up for Robert's desire to control everything.

This listen was ok but I think it could've had more suspense and less bedroom details...if you're looking for erotica, this is your pick.

This was the first book I've read from Miasha and I was pleasantly surprised. The narrator made me feel like I was watching a movie with sound effects, etc. Can't wait to read the rest of her books.

In this sequel to Something on the Side, two Rubenesque beauties kiss the Big Apple goodbye and launch a new chapter of the Big Girls Book Club in Richmond, Virginia. But this time, the size-14-and-over ladies’ club is welcoming a chunky (and very male) player into its ranks—and plus-size shenanigans are sure to follow.

This read did not disappoint. Definitely worth it, and the cliffhanger at the end leaves me waiting for part 3. Although, IMO there was too much reference to Jerome and his "friends". Overall, good read.

Lately, she's begun meeting Wayne as a friend, but she's also been gauging her smoldering attraction to him. This was a good story and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I hated to put it down although I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the ending. But I'll allow the other listeners to judge that for themselves. Overall, a great read!!

I had everything a woman could want... My husband, James. The house on the lake. My life. Our perfect life. And then Alex came to visit. The first time I saw my husband's best friend, I didn't like him. Didn't like how James changed when he was around, didn't like how his penetrating eyes followed me everywhere.

What a waste! I should've paid more attention to the previous reviews. It was just trash about 3 friends sleeping together...horrible!!!

Best-selling author Travis Hunter delivers another edgy, yet genuine story of family secrets and missteps. In this story of two brothers and their sister, the people they love aren't always who they appear to be. Beloved teacher and widower Dallas Dupree spends most of his time with his daughter Aja. But the new woman in Dallas' life is hiding a nasty secret that could cost him his career, reputation and family. His sister Carmen's new husband harbors destructive secrets of his own.

In Blues from Down Deep, Forster tells the story of Regina Pearson, a woman searching for the family she has never known. Unfortunately, her quest does not bring her the love and acceptance she expects. But just as the disappointment seems unbearable, Regina meets a man who is willing to show her what family is all about.

    Overall

I love Gwynne Forster's books but this story had too much going on and it took awhile for me to really be able to get into it. I don't know if it was the narrator's voice or what. By the time I got to the end, I was so disappointed. Don't waste your time listening to this. You'll do better going to the library and reading the book; that way you can at least give it back.
