I was surprised that this 21 hour epoch held my attention but it certainly did. This author did a great job maintaining a believeable flow of the story. Anne Flosnick helped, too, she is an awesome narrator.
After having read the first two, I found this one very disappointing. It was hard to grasp why she was inundated with marriage proposals just days after entering their world.
I love history but have tended to steer clear of these history related novels. However, this one was enjoyable. I was able to follow the story and appreciate the history lesson. I didn't put it down until I finished it. This woman, Catherine, was an incredible lesson in determination, dedication, although possibly misguided. Regardless of the fact that she did finally become queen.
I enjoyed the mystery attached to this story. Just when I thought the book was nearing its end, another reason to make it last longer happened with another mystery. It was easy to listen to it.
This story didn't really start until Part 2. Part 1 was a total waste.
This was a very strange story. After listening to the preview, I thought I had a clue about the story content but was I ever wrong. I think the narrator helped me stick with the book until the end. It held my attention for the full 5 hours. If it had lasted any longer, I'm not sure it would have held my interest.
I think this story could have been told in half the time. I found it to be a bit boring, repetitive and drawn out.
This book was a breath of fresh air for me. The author and the narrator are a new experience, too. It's a different kind of mystery; a nice change from the usual murder story. I enjoyed watching the main character use research to resolve the problem. I'm looking forward to reading the others in the series.
I'm glad I picked this one up. I read it and enjoyed it and only put it down because I had to go to sleep.
I enjoyed this book. It was interesting to see how dedicated some people can be to family. The entire story was centered around family secrets and the lengths people will go to, to keep their family secrets. I'd recommend the book.
This one was slow moving and dull. I thought this woman would never get rescued. Too many unnecessary details.
