  • Attitude Plus Self-Confidence: The Cornerstone for Personal and Professional Success

    • ABRIDGED (2 hrs and 30 mins)
    • By Keith Harrell
    • Narrated By Keith Harrell

If you are not where you want to be in life, renowned motivational speaker Keith D. Harrell is here to share the secret of making successful change and having the life your desire, and it all begins with attitude and self-confidence. Keith boils down a lifetime of lessons learned from his family, experience as a college basketball star, and a career at IBM, and peppers his core messages with the wit and wisdom of his live public talks.

    Monica says: "Excellent!!!"

Very easy to listen to and funny! He has a way of getting his points across with stories that usually cause you to remember the message. I enjoyed it and will even have my teenagers listen to it while we are in the car because they are never too young to learn the importance of attitude, self confidence and goal setting and they'll get a kick out of some of the stories.

  • The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Why we think it’s a great listen: The best book club you’ve never heard of – but will be eager to join, courtesy of a full cast of true characters. January 1946: London is emerging from the shadow of the Second World War, and writer Juliet Ashton is looking for her next book subject. Who could imagine that she would find it in a letter from a man she's never met, a native of the island of Guernsey, who has come across her name written inside a book by Charles Lamb....

Kent says: "MUCH better than I ever expected! Give it a try!"
    "Shockingly Good"

If someone didn't tell me to read this, I wouldn't have known what I was missing because the title didn't catch my fancy. It was charming and so fun to listen to. I actually think I got more out of it listening to it than my friends that read it because of what a nice job the narrators did with the voices. Well worth the money and I relearned some of the history lessons that I had forgotten.

  • There's No Such Thing as "Business" Ethics

    • UNABRIDGED (2 hrs and 39 mins)
    • By John C. Maxwell
    • Narrated By John C. Maxwell

John C. Maxwell thinks there's no such thing as business ethics. There's only ethics. Maxwell asserts there's one ethical standard for all behavior, and you might be surprised by what it's based on.

John says: "Thought-provoking, useful read (listen)"
"A must for all levels of business people."

I thought this book really hit home as far as understanding how and why some people choose the wrong path in business. There are some that are so concerned with the profits that they forget their core values and the "golden rule". This is a nice reminder of right & wrong and makes you step back, look at yourself and see if you have crossed the line either knowingly or unknowingly!
