When you're the best at what you do, it's not always easy to walk away. Nathan McBride was retired. The trained Marine sniper and covert CIA operative had put the violence of his former life behind him. But not anymore. A deep-cover FBI agent has disappeared along with one ton of powerful Semtex explosive, enough to unleash a disaster of international proportions. The U.S. government has no choice but to coax Nathan out of retirement.

Bought this based on nearly 4/5 rating. Mistake. It's a macho equivalent of Mills and Boone.

Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared from a family gathering. Her body was never found, yet her uncle is convinced it was murder - and that the killer is a member of his own family. He employs journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the tattooed, truculent computer hacker Lisbeth Salander to investigate. When the pair link Harriet's disappearance to a number of grotesque murders from forty years ago, they begin to unravel a dark and appalling family history.

    Overall

Fantastic. Loved all three in the series. At roughly 20 hours each, it seemed daunting. Not at all. The time flew by and I felt lost when the last one ended. The narrator was superb and played a large part in my enjoyment. The production quality was excellent, with very few instances when a new take was obvious. Money very well spent.
