Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last words - and tired of his safe life at home. He leaves for boarding school to seek what the dying poet Francois Rabelais called the "Great Perhaps." Much awaits Miles at Culver Creek, including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed-up, and dead sexy, Alaska will pull Miles into her labyrinth and catapult him into the Great Perhaps.

Looking for Alaska brilliantly chronicles the indelible impact one life can have on another.

    "John Green rocks my socks."
    Overall

This is an amazing book and the audio version is very well done. It is more than just a young adult's novel. I would recommend it to people of most any age.

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

    "Wonderful series"
    Overall

It's gets quite sappy at times, but the story grips me from the start. This is my least favorite of the saga but I still haven't tired of reading/listening to it.

For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning.

    "My favorite of the saga"
    Overall

I know that these books are sort of "pulp fiction" but I love how much I get sucked into the world of Forks, Washington. And of all the Twilight Saga books, this one is definitely my favorite. It gets a little emo at times, but it is still a fascinating read with great character development. Go, Team Jacob!

Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to deliver an evening lecture in the U.S. Capitol. Within minutes of his arrival, the night takes a bizarre turn. A disturbing object is discovered in the Capitol Building. The object is an ancient invitation, meant to usher its recipient into a long-lost world of hidden esoteric wisdom. And when Langdon's mentor is kidnapped, Langdon's only hope of saving him is to accept this invitation and follow wherever it leads him.

    "Typical Dan Brown"
    Overall

If you like Dan Brown, you will like this book. Typical twists and turns. Not earth shattering but not bad either. I was able to guess the big twist at the end which was a little disappointing. And the ending of the book sort of dragged, but other than that it was a decent listen/read.
