I am just going to tell you like it is… Michal Ian Black has a whiney twang to his voice, and at times I could have sworn that I was listening to Woody Allen. Meghan McCain has a bit of a lisp, with a slight valley-girl intonation. Combine the two and it’s akin to listening to someone drag their fingernails across a chalkboard. I couldn’t tell you much about the content, because I barely made it through three hours… it was torture!
The book is mildly interesting, but the narrator ruined it for me. When she is reading in her natural voice, she reads well. But when she tries to inject an accent, or (worse yet) tries to sound as if she is a scientific professional, it’s so over-the-top, it ruins the book.
Very little current information... this book dwells on 19th century experiments.
