From Essence best-selling author Cheryl Robinson comes an uplifting novel about three sisters who rediscover each other—and themselves. After 13 years in Hollywood, Alicia abandons her dream and returns home to Detroit. Hope is still seeking the truth about her husband’s disappearance. And Heaven is ensnared in an abusive relationship. It takes an earth-shattering discovery, a lucky lottery ticket, and a near-fatal encounter to bring these estranged sisters together.

Would you try another book from Cheryl Robinson and/or Shari Peele?

    No

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Not sure

How could the performance have been better?

Just simply a boring plot & prdedictable characters. The reader's style seemed like it may have been her first time reading aloud.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Perhaps an insight into another lifestyle.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Excellent story. Readers voices were a pleasure to listen to. I would definitely recommend it! It leaves itself open to a great sequel!
