Please get Bobby Cannavalle back!!! This Danny guy is awful!!! Made not want to listen anymore!!!!
Narration was awful. Accents were not realistic. Inflection was poor.
Retired physician.......proud father & grfather!!
Another interesting Bennett story. My
Favorite other than ACross.
More time spent on Mikes kids and MCatherine. A good easy read or listen
Yes, I like the story line.
He continues to amaze me - like to see this in a screen play.
Going to the next book.
Mary Katherine lost her sexy accent in this book. I liked how the book started off, but It seemed like the author got to a certain point in the book and realized that it was time to move it along and tell the rest of the story. So a lot of the subplot items tended to get less attention. This one was just "okay"
A little gruesome for us old schoolers who remember when the cowboy was shot and you didn't see the blood didn't mean he wasn't dead. But I guess people need a more vivid picture these days to tell the bad guys from the good guys.
I really miss Bobby Cannavale, or even the first narrator. This one just doesn't have the right cadence or inflection. Something is off. It sounds like he's asking a question or leaving the sentence hanging as he reads so it's difficult to listen to. I keep thinking "is his sentence over or is he pausing?" I'm going to listen to the next book because I love this series and family, but for the next production I hope they change narrators. As usual, the "bad guy" narrator was great.
The story line was cliche, the performance was so-so, and the plot was predictable! Although I am a fan of Patterson's, I found this book to be lacking in the intricate, engaging plot that caused me to really care about the characters! Certainly not one his best
I was hoping for more action in the second book and I was not disappointed. The nastiest villain ever. Also, just when you think the story is over it kicks back into full throttle action.
