I found it boring and not to the same standard as other Clive Cussler books I have read. Disappointed with the book.
I liked Clive Cussler books until now. NOT SURE WHAT TO READ NEXT.
Scott Brick is good.
Use a different narrator. That would have freshened it up. Scott Brick is fine, but he always sounds a bit sardonic, in his affect. He's a good performer, I just like a break from his particular affect.
Less likely after reading this book. There's just not enough "fiber" in the plot to chew on. I've got two books by Cussler right now besides this
Scott Brick and George Guidall, suffer from over-exposure at this point. Both good performers, but they don't surprise me any more. They respond predictably in all plot parts. That's not a bad thing, they're just over-used at this point.
dissapointment. Plot was too shallow, too simplistic, too predictable.
Thank goodness Audible allows returns... This one isn't worth the time to listen to it.
Thought it was a great story kept me listening.
I love both the Fargo's
As good if not better the all the other book's
I had all the emotion's while listening.
Can't Waite for the next Fargo adventure.
I don't have a favorite Clive Cussler series - I just love them all! ... CC & Thomas Perry's treatment of the characters is so well done - even the dog is a wicked good character ... I enjoy the pace and content of each of the Fargo Adventure novels ... I just recommended this book and the series to a patron at our local library this evening and she went and got the first three in the series to read this weekend ... Scott Brick knocked it out of the ball park again with a wonderful narration ... looking forward to the next novel in this series!
one of my faves
The historical facts really brought me into the story
Love Scott Brick!
it was nice to hear a story I wanted to listen to all the way through. I have tried to listen to a few books lately that were ruined by a terrible narrator!
Career IT person driving 1-1/2 hours a day, listening to affordable audible books makes the commute doable!
As so many of Clives books are, imaginative and slightly beyond realistic, which makes them so much fun to read. Oh, Yes, can't forget adventurous!! I can't wait for the next fearsome Fargo feature :)
I love the Fargo series. It is very easy reading and doesn't get to deep, but it is educational and fun. You have to get past the fact that they are the perfect couple and have skills beyond what they reasonably should have, but they keep it close enough to not go overboard. Nothing to change your life but definitely a fun read.
Scott Bricks reading of the story
Clive is a great author
Didn't seem up to Clives usual story line. The other Fargo books, (and his other series), all held me in suspense to the point that I could not wait to get back to them, but this one was lacking that excitement or anticipation.
What A Blast!
Yes, this story rolled right along, great twists and turns, had the usual charming predictability of a Cussler novel, but so much more fun than the latest issues.
Brick is one of my favorite storytellers. What I love about him is, he reads aloud as if I were reading to myself.
...?( sorry this book was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it, but think of your own "tag line")
This is by far the best "Fargo" yet and one of the best Cussler collaborations lately, and I have never missed a single Cussler book yet.
Mediocre unbelievable story with one-dimensional comic book characters. Even Scott Brick couldn't save it.
Scott Brick is a fine reader. His performance was very good.
Disappointment. I expected better
