There are two story lines but they amazingly intertwine:) I cried for Ira and Rush but I also enjoy the love story between the cowboy and the college student. Nicholas successfully demonstrates how true love can overcome class gap and social status difference. I once believe in love again:) love the movie as well.
I found myself struggling to connect with the characters in this book at first. I would say it took several chapters to truly catch my interest. It is worth the listen, if you are willing to stick with it.
I struggled to actually stick with this one in the beginning because the audible narration really bothered me. Considering this is a romance novel, I found it annoying that he main male character was played by a woman. It was awkward. I am glad I stuck with it however because the story was pretty great!
This is the second time I have watched the movie and decided to read the book. Of course the first one was also a Nicolas Sparks book (The Notebook). I absolutely love his work. I love the feelings I catch every time I open up one of his books and this one was no different. I fall in love with the characters so easily. Definitely worth the read or listen to!
book was a little slow at first. I snuck a peak at part of the movie. the movie covered 90 percent of the book time line in 10 minutes.
The movies loses 95 percent of the details. I believe the book is much better than the movie. Will look for other books by the author.
