This is my first book review after listening to audio books for about 3-4 years
It's worth the credit a great read and I wish he would have written a sequel
It would have made a great movie
I hadn't read a book in years, and upon a reccomendation, I downloaded the app & this book for a road trip from Pa. To N.C.
My husband & I both listened to it all the way down & back.
It was a good story line & for the most part, held our interest. On occasion, it became a bit too descriptive, which is when we found ourselves losing interest. One of the character's voice doesn't seem aproperiate to the character. On a ten scale, I would rate it a 7+
There are two story lines but they amazingly intertwine:) I cried for Ira and Rush but I also enjoy the love story between the cowboy and the college student. Nicholas successfully demonstrates how true love can overcome class gap and social status difference. I once believe in love again:) love the movie as well.
I found myself struggling to connect with the characters in this book at first. I would say it took several chapters to truly catch my interest. It is worth the listen, if you are willing to stick with it.
