I love Lee Child's books. because of his persistent detail, you can't help but experience the excitement. I especially like the way he takes care of his nefarious enemies.
Loved to get lost in the book best thing is when you can't get out of the car, even though you're home, just to keep listening! Love love love Lee Child and Jack Reacher = )
I was an avid reader of books before my work took most of my time so now I listen to Audible books when I'm exercising or walking my dog. I like mystery and thriller novels, particularly good serial killer novels. I'm a writer and a psychotherapist.
Never did pick up momentum, more like a couple of old guys playing checkers. Couldn't keep track of characters.
The story was too much a mess to make any suggestions.
Of course, I have read every Reacher novel so far.
I love Dick Hill.
All of them !!!!
To me, this is the most disappointing book in the Reacher series so far. It starts with a good premise, but then wanders. At times, I was like.. what is the point of all this? They go all the way across the country to meet his "suspected" daughter. They could have done the same story and stayed much closer to home.
I love Reacher's deep analysis an attention to detail. It deepens the novels and of course stretches them out. But usually those insights really play a key part in the novel. But a lot of waste this time. I hope the next one is the series is much better.
It's not a bad book. But but not as good as others. The whole book was build up. A lot of questions. Then it was resolved on literally 8min. Kinda seemed like a half-assed ending like the author got tired towards the end.
Hard worker, loving father and all-around good guy.
A great story. Lots of twists and turns and i love the fact that Reacher was initially wrong in his assessment. Makes him more real somehow. While I liked the fact that the real story wasn't discovered until the end, when the end came, it was far to abrupt. Kind of reminded me of the worst traits of Stephen King...launch as in "It" when he suddenly gets bored writing a really great story and just say, "hell, it's a spider. The end."
