This was a fun summer book that I enjoyed. I liked the plot and characters in this book.
I've listened to this entire series and I was very disappointed. Unfortunately once I start a book I cannot stop until I know how it ends. It was not worth my time. Very disappointed.
Absolutely, Amy McFadden brings all of the characters to life. It's funny, it has drama and. It is just a perfect book that Amy McFadden gives life to.
The prologue. The rest of the book . What can I say , this whole story is fabulous .
Amy McFadden brings life, love
Yes and I did. More than once.
Julie Garwood writes a terrific book.and Amy McFadden brings the magic.
I love feel good thrillers! So tired of strange sounding narrations. This was a welcome 5-5-5 across the board.
One of Julie's best books by far. Amyis one of the best and her performance here is outstanding! love this book.
Listened with my mother on a long road trip. liked the story and the performance. A few graphic loves scenes made listening a little awkward, but other than that great! :) what do you expect when reading a romance novel?!?! mom didn't care for the narrator, such is the reason for the four stars.
This book captured me from the first pages all the way to the end. It's the story of Finn McBain, FBI agent, and the little girl next door whose life he saved when he was 14 and she was 6. All grown up, they meet again at his brother's wedding just after she narrowly escaped bodily harm from her sexual predator boss. The main story, the side story of her sister and the resort manager, and the backstory of Debbie, the malicious cousin, were enjoyable throughout the book. You will love it too!
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
I was going to stop after 2 hrs, but kept going as some of the readers do get better as the story rolls out.I did finish, but would probably not re listen. The reader just could not get the job done for a re listen. Not sure where Ms Garwood was going with this one, harassment or a mystery or family trials. Frankly the family issues were very boring for me. Ms Garwood should have developed Finn's brothers as they had more charisma and the Navy Seals had more to offer. Not the best editing Ms Garwood has had.
when Finn meets Payton at the wedding. the swim contest.
Karen White could have made the most of the humor in this story. What a waste of good dialogue and humor. The cadence was off, and the last 2 hrs had the best voice changes, but I really had to stick it out in the first half of the book. Like some of the other Garwood modern stories, the first establishing chapters are not that great, but they get better as the story develops.
I did not give Sizzle a chance in audio, but the book read well, so give that one a look.
Susan Deneker does Judith McNaughts "Every Breath you Take" and reads Sizzle from Garwood. Deneker aka Madison Cole is not to be missed when she does an Irish voice.
I liked Hotshot so much that I've listened to it twice. Enjoyed the humor, the romance, the mystery and the characters.
Don't miss this!
Touching, passionate and gripping
Finn is my favorite Character. He is strong and the hero of course but he is also flawed and has to over come his need to be alone so that he avoids becoming vulnerable. Peyton wonderfully shows him the way through that. She also is a wonderful Character. Her determination to do the right thing in the face of evil as well as stand up to her family with her cousin all make her a great character in the story.
Amy McFadden is clear and easy to understand
I have actually listened to it three times now, never in one sitting but I always wish I could have.
This is one of my favorite audio books. I really enjoy the story and the characters. I do some times feel like Amy McFadden reads in a slightly perfunctory cadence which is not always preferable.
