Painful, Wonderful and Gripping
This story talked about a subject/ailment that I am completely unfamiliar with. The coping mechanism for the lead character for how she deals with stress and painful subjects is alien to me so I was intrigued.
Ms. Willingham was able to transition the characters from one point to another without losing me so I always knew what was going on.
Ms. Willingham did a great job.
I felt mostly sadness for Nikki but Damien does in fact turn the story around in to something more happy even with his own issues.
I did very much enjoy the series even with the alien subject for how Nikki copes with stress/painful subjects. I was intrigued through out the book and did not want to put it down. Dare I say I loved the series?? Yes
a better story line
Nikki is a recovering cutter, so am I and thats what drew me to this series in the begining. I continued to listen to the rest of the books waiting to hear the strength that Nikki should have shown and never gound it. She instead continued to be a VICTIM of her own fears. J. Kenner could have made her more of a fighter and an example to women because in my opinion she wasnt.
as long as she is not confusing whispering with what should be a sexy voice
i get that Nikki had a bad childhood but WTF must she relate EVERYTHING that she goes through in life to her childhood. No one said that life was supposed to be easy and isnt part of her recovery supposed to be her learning how to cope in healthier ways? I guess I just cant deal with women that love to play the "I'm a victim of my circumstances and to weak to deal with it" role. I am a strong woman that has lived through a lot worse than being forces by my mommy to participate in pagents and I have come out on the other side STRONGER and ready to FIGHT no matter what comes at me. and that is the kind of character that want to relate to.
I would have cut & changed the ending.
Loved the 1st 2 books in the Stark Trilogy. Just feel like the 3rd was a quick put together. All though it did clear up some of the things from the previous books....I expected a totally different ending. What I expected....not sure, BUT, it should have been a different ending. It left me saying tomyself....(without spoiling it)WE KNEW THAT ALREADY!!
If you've read my review of the other two books in the series, you know already I cannot say enough good things about the narrator, Sofia Willingham. Her narration is just outstanding to listen to - so pleasant, sexy, multiple characters easily envisioned.
This final book has lots of surprises in the plot I never saw coming, and the way the author wraps it all up at the end is satisfying. I wish the story would continue, and that Ms. Wilingham had more material on Audible.
Highly recommend the whole series.
I feel like this should have been limited to one book. There isn't enough substance to take it as far as a trilogy. I'm really struggling to finish. I feel like there are sex scenes more than plot. It seems like the sex scenes are just stretching the story out longer and truthfully I'm not impressed with them. There is something to be said about minimizing the sex scenes to make them have more impact and meaning.
The first book was ok but now I'm just bored and ready to be done. Truthfully, I'm not sure if I'm going to finish or just fast forward through the scenes and Nicki is getting on my last nerve.
Liked the series. However reader beware. The female character is really into pain. More sado/ masochistic than other series I have read. Characters are flawed but compelling. I liked their story. Wouldn't mind more with these characters
Damien -- liked his whole story and how he was willing to sacrifice the things he valued to have Nikki in his life
Breathy, varied, nice
They sacrifice it all for love
Continuing from "Claim Me", I'm honestly not able to complete this Book, and it is not without trying. The same sentiments from Book 2 is carried to this copy.
I'm actually listening to Part 1 and am dreading the completion of the rest of the book. I'm just sorry I had this experience.
I love to read and listen to erotica all types and paranormal vamps and shifters
Okay I loved this book this was a good series book 3 was so hot it was sex sex sex. Book 3 answered a lot of questions that I had it was better than book 2. I am so sad to see this series come to an end I will miss Mr. Stark
I read this whole series in a weekend. It is a very good series but it not Fifty Shades. The last book was lack luster and left me wanting more.
It keeps you wanting more
The story line was great, and entwining erotic romance with the mysteries of who is sending Nikki threats, is Damien a murderer? I loved the sweet ways Damien romanced Nikki. Despite both of them having horrific pasts together they heal each other.
I is hard to pick oone scene. In the first book when Damien kisses Nikki,s scars; book two when she goes to England to support Damien through hiis trial,; book three when she is willing to end their relationship, so pictures from his past would never get in te hands of journalists and newspapers.
YES! I had to know who what when and why!
similiar to Fiftey Shades Of Grey, And Bared to You
worth every penny!
