I always choose a book based on reviews. This choice was very misleading. The first 50 chapters were filled with too many characters who did a bunch of nothing. I found the characters to be extremely one dimensional and boring. It wasn't until the last few chapters when an interesting spark occurred. By then, it was too late.
Such an interesting story. You can pretty much figure out the big secret, but what is done with it is the interesting part. The author told a fine tale and the narrator brought it to life. Very enjoyable.
truly a wonderful story with rich characters and such plot twists. i held on until the very end with full attention. it was a great, easy and intelligent read. A+
The characters are nicely developed and the narrator is the icing on the cake. The combination of her voice and accent is what does it for me.
I decided to read this book because I read little big lies from the same author and I absolutely loved it. I was not disappointed by this book. It sucks you in right from the beginning and delivers until the end.
This was my first experience at an audio book and it open a whole new world for me. I love to read but as a mom of 3 rarely have the time to do so. This is an amazing listen. It kept me on my toes the entire time. I have since listened to 3 more Liane Moriarty books. I'm hooked. Please give this book a try it is worth every penny or your credit. I loved it!
I found this book to be not as good as "Big Little Lies." There was a lot of rambling on, for example, " should I tie my shoes or shouldn't i? What if I don't tie them? Bla, bla, bla. In all I thought the story itself was good, but a little drawn out.
