"Wonderful book, with lots of little twists and turns. A mini history lesson sprinkled like spice throughout..."
I loved the intricate way the book was written. There were so many tie ins. I listened to the book while taking my daily walk. I could only listen to the book when I was exercising. It was a wonderful motivator. The reader was extraordinary. Thank you!
I loved this book! The interweaving of characters and storylines made it nearly impossible to hit the pause button to go to sleep. I found myself listening to the book during every spare moment.
The narrator was excellent and made the story more enjoyable than had I read it myself!

I had a completely different expectation for this book. Overall I really liked it. I think the author is really good at conveying a woman's inner dialogue (I also read 'What Alice Forgot'). The voice actor is marvelous. I love listening to Australian and British novels, I think it helps to immerse yourself in the world of the story.
One of the best books I've ever listened to.
Story line was compelling but the character development is what drove the book home for me. There were so many HUMAN layers to each woman...it made me feel like I was experiencing each moment with each character. Their flaws just made them more relatable, and thus likable.
The author's intertwining of their lives was brilliant. It DID start off slow for me, but suddenly I could not stop listening and I will probably come back to it more than once.
The story began so quickly and it didn't stop - not even in the epilogue. From the first word to the last I was totally entertained, engaged and pleasantly suprised!
None. It stands alone. This book was really good and this author is becoming my favorite!
If you are looking for a good book that is written by a talented author who doesn't cover up his/her lack of talent with language, sex or predictable plotting - then this is your book! All other authors in this genre should be ranked up against this author.
