No, not really.
I wanted to love this book, I really did. I found Eric Thomas on Facebook and watched a clip of his. Then I found his videos on YouTube and got hooked. While studying for the Bar I would use his inspirational videos to help me believe in myself. Now, with the Bar successfully behind me, I thought I'd enjoy using his audiobook to inspire me in my career. His passion just did not translate well in book form. The book would have benefited from some careful editing. The stories seemed to come out of nowhere, one chapter did not flow into the other and it leaves the listener/reader confused about the where in the timeline Thomas is.
All in all, I think it's a decent and would be inspirational for a college student or someone going back to school after a long break.
I loved the way Eric told his story. It was raw, real and inspirational. I loved how he he didn't hold back exposing his vulnerable moments nor his prideful moments. I loved seeing him grow as a christian, a husband, a father and a son through his own words.
I'm definitely buying this book for my sons and nephews. It's a must read!!
Great book. The lesson I pulled from this book is that anything is possible through hard work and determination. Anything. A lot of books I listen to it notice myself having to take a lot of breaks because I start losing focus and interest. This book had me interested and into what was being talked about the whole time. Really good book in my opinion.
really really good
