I would recommend the book, yes, but not in audible form. These are, by far, the most horrible narrators I have ever listened to.
I wish I had heeded the multitude of reviews that said not to buy this book because of the narration. I love this author and enjoy the series, so I thought "it can't be that bad"....I was wrong...it was much worse. The book is actually painful to listen to at times and I have NEVER taken this long to finish a book. For me, if I see another book narrated by either one or both of these people, I will enjoy it the old fashioned way...in print form.
I liked the story but it was difficult to listen because of the narrators which can make or break an audio book.
not really because of the narrators, the story was good and that is the only reason I kept listening. I love the author but she needs to listen to this audiobook and see what I mean.
They were monotone and were unbelievable as the characters.
I would purchase it if someone else read it
Too Catherine Coulter. Did not like the book at all. To much romance for a FBI series
Reading is my greatest pleasure and I read for entertainment. Mystery, suspense and romance are my picks.
There were two complete, rather flat stories going on at the same time and it was distracting to continually switch back and forth between them. It didn't have the intrigue and surprises that I have come to expect from Catherine Coulter. There was no excitement or anticipation. The narration was rather boring and that is unusual for most of Audible's offerings. It was a disappointment because I was excited about reading this new selection.
I would recommend people to read the book not listen to it, the female sounded like an old woman who had something in her mouth.
The male did a very good job.
These are my favorite series of books and I always look forward to the next.
Never Renee Raudman but yes Paul Costanzo
I enjoyed the entire story
yes, if they like the FBI and Coulter series.
Too many to list.
Character makes them real.
I couldn't figure out how Sherlock and Savage's story would intertwine with the other one. I kept thinking it had to join in some way. But it really didn't at all. We actually get two crimes and are being solved separately. They join in character, but not in storyline. I felt I would rather have one story and include the Savage's. I enjoy meeting other FBI etc characters, but I like Savage family and their story, so when the book revolves around others it feels like a bit of a cheat. It isn't since the other characters are quite interesting, yet........ya know?
The narration is so blasé. No personality at all.
Not the Audio version
Use better Narrators. Get into character, change the voices a bit. It's really hard to tell who is talking since the male voice never changes from on male character to another. Same with the female voices, she is weak in all characters.
Yes but not an audio book read by Rene Raudman and Paul Constanzo
They did not seem to be enjoying the story - the changes between male and female were often arbitrary and they made no effort to get into character = it sounded as though they may have phoned it in from different cities
none were memorably bad or memorably good
If she had better narrators. I've always read her books, love the FBI ones. This was the worst for me on all levels.
Their lack of acting. The performance was stiff and boring.
Cant say. I'm going to have to buy the book and read it. The audio version is so awful that I couldn't get into the plot or characters.
Wow! I've been a fan of CC for years and I just hope it was not her who hired the narrators for Bomb Shell. Truly the reading was boring.
Yes I would. I have heard all her books and have liked them but not so much this one. Considered listening to it again as I do sometimes but don't think so.
Better story line.
Not so hot
This was the most disappointing book so far.
