It was like everyone had taken an advanced course in story writing and story telling. all the different characters and their stories fell neatly into place at the right time. Also it did not dwell forever on the past in order to explain a character or situation, on the other hand it did explain just enough to understand what was going on so you did not feel lost, excellent. the telling of the story was really outstanding, I am so glad some characters way of speaking was toned down, in the past books Dennis Sylva sounded like some circus clown from the middle of the Tennessee mountains, it just did NOT fit him at all! It is better this go around, not totally changed but not as bad. Mr. Dufris has an incredible range of voice and accents! He could read all of my books anytime.
Well, I can't really tell you that can I? Talk about a spoiler. Let's just say there is a certain ex-gladiator, now General that will reveal more brains than all of Grikkdom put together.
That he softened Dennis Sylvas accent, stopped making him sound like a complete idiot retarded person. I mean I am a redneck hick and I have never heard that bad of an accent. It is much more believable now. In the past books Dennis Sylva sounded like some circus clown from the middle of the Tennessee mountains, it just did NOT fit him at all! It is better this go around, not totally changed but not as bad. Mr. Dufris has an incredible range of voice and accents! He could read all of my books anytime.
Be prepared for anything, Because it just might happen!
If you don't read these books you are really missing a grand story of high adventure with tons of personal conflicts, overflowing with realistic battles and weapons, believable explanations and blueprints of their manufacture and use. And of course Dennis Sylva, that man IS the Alliance, he is an underrated Hercules, a whole book needs to be written of him and a few of his friends on a mission to save the Universe, lol. Well, ok, to save the world at least. God save Dennis Sylva! More of him from now on! I am waiting on book # 9....(arms folded, tapping foot....)
this has the potential to be a great series. Looking forward to the next book
The cast of varied characters in the story and the story line parallel our WW2 with fighting on both fronts
I am glad the writer kept the level of action as in the earlier books
Too many to pick just one
Tough choice, have to think about it
Hope that it doesn't take too long to get the next book I want MORE
The Comedian Joan Rivers,
Was doing skits on the Tonight Show's With Johnny Carson. Talking about microwave ovens, she complained about how slow they worked. She would standing in front of her's and scream. Hurry!!! Hurry!!! Hurry!!! Hurry!!!
This is exactly how I feel about Taylor Anderson. Hurry!!! Hurry!!! Hurry!!! Hurry!!!
He would not like having me this is manager, I would be a slave driver! Taylor, what makes you think you could stop and go to the bathroom? Taylor, what makes you think you could stop to sleep, you did that last night? Taylor, what makes you think you could stop and that a break? Taylor! Were waiting! Keep them coming!
This is a really bad read and I wish I had my money back - a first with Audible for me!
It was misrepresented in the audible description.
Say something about yourself!
I listened to the first chapter and found that I could not go on. I liked the performance, but the prose was not to my liking at all.
