Just finished listening and it was a good as the first one, even better. Starting the third and I wish this could go on to a forth. OMG, what interesting characters. Grace Grant does an outstanding job with Narration. Maybe after the third book I'll get some sleep. Up at night listening just couldn't stop. I wanted to know what was happening next. You'll enjoy all of the books, believe me.
Say something about yourself!
Sex scenes are vanilla boring and uninteresting...the mystery plot stuff is better.
Narrator was okay...
Less sophomoric statements about general appearance and more evocative descriptors of emotion or internal physicality would make this better.
"Male hotness". Really?
Will do anything for books!
Oh this book has so much drama, had to wait to write the reviews because I needed SLEEP!!! There is so much going on in this book even laying in bed with the sleep timer on I kept just resetting it and stayed up all night. ALL NIGHT! Not just one night, no because I couldn't get through all three books in one night and day...let's just say 2 nights!! YIKES Okay, so i totally got sucked in and I couldn't stop.
This book didn't leave as bad a cliffhanger as the first which is good, since I think i had cardiac arrest the first time around, but definitely forces you to keep going.
We do get the "big" answer in this book, but oh there is so much more now! I really liked this one!
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
Probably top 25, it was ok.
Nothing memorable in this one but I bet # 3 will have a few.
I love Grace Grant....my favorite female narrator. She is awesome in anything she narrates even the stories I don't particularly like!
Not really, there are a lot of loose ends to tie up and of course the second big mystery. #1 was better to me, this was primarily the development of Chris and Sara's relationship.
No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
I really enjoy the series...one of my favorite series.
I arch into him, drinking in his passion, instantly, willingly consumed by all that he is and could be to me.
Sara McMillan is still searching for Rebecca, the mysterious woman whose dark, erotic journal entries both enthralled and frightened her. Tormented by a strong desire to indulge the demands of her new boss while also drawn deeper into her passionate bond with the troubled artist Chris Merit, Sara must face a past as deeply haunting as Rebecca’s written words. In one man’s arms, Sara will find the safe haven to reveal her most intimate secrets and explore her darkest fantasies. But is safety just an illusion, when the truth about Rebecca has yet to be discovered?
The relationship between Chris and Sara...and the continued mystery of Rebecca and her disappearance-which is the catalyst to the series of wvents.
Yes, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Grace Grant's performances. If she narrates it, I own it! She is perfection.
Yes, I did listen to it within three days.
I was so frustrated after reading the 1st book - If I Were You - because I didn't know it was a series. It left a zillion unanswered questions and cliffhanger! This book answered some questions and raised some more intrigue. I have the third in the series downloaded and ready to go.
My advice-if you are like me and cannot stand waiting between books. Wait until the entire series is released before listening - especially with such an intense set of books that are NOT stand alone. A similar series [not stand alone] is The Blackstone Affair Series.
I recommend the Beautiful Series by Christina Lauren if you cannot wait for an entire series as these can stand alone (although it is fun to read them in order).
NOTE: Strong language and sexual situations
The narrator was very good.
Chris is still my favorite in this series.
This is the only series that I have listened to with Grace Grant.
YES! YES! YES!!! I think this series is amazing!! And really like Grace Grant's narrating.
FSOG series Sylvia Day's Crossfire series. This series has grabbed ahold of me just like those did, and I CAN'T quit listening until they are done!!!!!!
I'm in love with Chris Merit!!!! Just wish he had dark hair!!!.....He does in my mind! ;o)
Books books books
Love Chris even though he's crazy
Definitely on pins and needles waiting on the third book.
I love audio books that the characters come to life and have me feeling as if I was there too.
Oh this was a great wait and a great addition to these series. Worth the credit or the money for this book. Everything about this series is right. The drama was there the the pow pows was good and I couldn't stop listening till it ended.Trust me and buy this book cause ai didn't see the end coming, My more one thing is that I want to say is to Audibles to get Rebecca's Journal on here so I can buy them and enjoy. :D. I cant wait for book 3. Happy Listening!
To make the most of 'Being Me' you really need to read 'If I Were You' first - and even further on from that it is worth reading 'Rebecca's Diaries' before you read 'Being Me' . Rebecca's Diaries aren't available as an audiobook but I found them on Amazon kindle.
Now for the review. Being Me follows on directly from If I Were You. It delves more deeply into the lives of Sara and Chris and how their past will ultimately effect their future. Many of the questions raised in 'If I Were You' are answered in this book.
We find out who Master is though I guess we all had him pegged from book 1. We also find out what happened to Rebecca and as others have remarked - I didn't see that one coming either.
These books are very much like FSOG in that there is a strong BDSM element, a millionaire with a tortured soul, a beautiful young woman and a love story- but that is were the similarity ends. These books have suspense, intrigue and characters that have been developed by strong storylines.
I really enjoyed listening to this book though there is no way I could do it in one sitting - some of it was a bit too dark for me - but as I said it was a great book and I am looking forward to the third book in September.
