If a book can make me laugh out loud, then its doing something right. This series does a lot of things right. I enjoy the characters in this series, even when they die. The cornucopia of mythological references is great fun, and the narrator, while not always perfect with pronunciation, does such a great job with each individual voice that I don't even mind. Great pairing,.Well worth investing the time to explore this series.
The story was great, characters and their personalities fantastic and Luke Daniels tied it all together as one incredibly amazing Narrator. So far in all the books I've listened to there's been only one other narrator that I found as a must have. She was great Luke is OUTSTANDING!
Everything! His talent to create individual voices for each character to the point that I knew who was speaking without having to be told blew me away. I've wanted to be a narrator and if I had to have a teacher I would beg for Luke Daniels!
Can't wait for more......
This book is fast paced and full of action. Atticus, Granuaile and Oberon literally run acroos Europe in order to survive their latest antics. The plot is darker and sadder than previous books. There is a lot of growth and development with the characters. I look forward to the next book.
This is the first time we've heard from Granuaile's POV, and boy did I like her better when I didn't know what she was thinking. Ugh, I actually found myself telling her to shut it and move along. The characters have been written into a corner, and it's all just to-ing and fro-ing in this book.
I hope the next one picks up.
Love to read and I am really enjoying audible. Fantasy and sci fi are my faves but I also enjoy period novels and historical fiction.
The saga continues with more fun adventure and some unexpected twists
Luke is once again the perfect Atticus and Oberon
Not just a pretty boy!
I have become addicted to this story. I read the books in text, and I hear this narrator's voice, and character representations. And who could read this series without anticipation of what Oberon has to say next? Or what zinger Gronual may aim at the next animate obstacle, along with her staff? Or what tricks the "old Druid" may have up his sleeve this time?? I can't wait to find out what mayhem this latest twist will cause in the world that cannot be seen or heard by us mere mortals! And I must still wait another 10 days!!!! Patience is a virtue.. and that will be one of the mantra that just may get me through the next 10 days without fidgeting..
Yes because Luke Daniels is such a good performer.
Oberon of course, he's funny and its great to hear a dog's thoughts.
Sorry, Oberon again.
This series always makes me laugh out loud and that's why I love them.
I love this series, yes some of the books don't have such good storylines as others, but overall they are fab and a great way to escape from the real world. They are such fun to listen to and I can't wait for the next installment. I never want this series to end!
