Very good reader. Sort of a combination of the Car Talk men and Columbo
This isn't the best written book, but it is so funny and nice mystery with a twist. Just a lot of fun!
Thoroughly enjoyable story and performance that kept my interest throughout the book.
I actually had a tough time staying away.
I haven't read the print version.
Yes, there were lots of twists and turns and I really did not see many of the events coming.
There are too many to pick just one.
The monkey isn't the only bad one!
I've starting listening to more of the author's books and he is a terrific author.
If you like his other books, you will like "Bad Monkey". I enjoy his writing style even though it is light. Frankly I'm surprised more of them have not been successful screenplays. His books are a good escape from the non-fiction that usually consumes my credits. Many of the reviewers are panning Arte Johnson's narration...not sure what the big deal was...I thought it was fine, in fact-- above average.
As usual Carl Hiaasen cracked me up. I listened to it while driving to Florida from Virginia. There I was going 80 mph, laughing so hard I could hardly breathe.
The developer trying to sell the house across the street from the main character. I knew that whenever he appeared in the story, something hysterically funny was going happen.
Hi deadpan delivery of the book.
I hope Carl is working on his next book.
I just love Carl Hiaasen's work. Easy to read and follow with interesting characters.
Excellent narration by Arte Johnson. It is hard to believe this is the same Arte Johnson we used to watch on Rowen and Martin's Laugh In, but it is.
Different story; different reader
Only redeeming quality is that it took 15 minutes to know that I couldn't finish it. This one failed fast.
Someone told me Hiaasen writes like Elmore Leonard -- not even close. And Arte Johnson is really annoying. First audiobook I couldn't finish.
The narration completely ruined the book for me. Am a big Hiaasen fan. Skinny dip gets a listen at least once a year. This time i couldn't get past the first two chapters. This one i will return.
The vivid descriptions of the where we were, the weather, and the development of the characters.
Knowing that Hiaasen had written another Florida adventure.
