I loved this. I admit I was skeptical at first not v
being a parent myself, but oh my gosh, I was belly laughing. I am sure to listen again since I probably missed some due to my laughter.
Although I know Jim equates the term "family friendly" with junk - this really is great fun for a family road trip!! We have a 10 and almost 13 year old and we listened on our recent road trip. BIG laughs for all of us. 👍🏻👍🏻
Very funny views on parenting. His voice got a little whiny and annoying in the middle of the book, but it got better near the end. If you have small children you will relate to this book.
Jim Gaffigan's years of stage performance make him easy to listen to. He crafts his intonation and phrasing expertly.
This book is great for anyone who had kids or is thinking about having kids. He bluntly tells it like it is and does it in an interesting way.
I gave the book 4 stars overall due to the fact that a lot of the material found in the book comes from his stage act. That being said, if you like Jim Gaffigan, you'll love this book.
A+ look at dads with families and someone who really loves all of them, deeply. Sometimes silly Kama sometimes a little cynical, but mostly a good look.
I thoroughly enjoy Jim Gaffigan and this book did not disappoint, at least in content. Funny material, funny stories, funny (and relatable) all the way around.
Gaffigan's narrating lacks the flow and rhythm of his stand up. I got somewhat frustrated with the sometimes stilted narration, but that was easily forgivable because the material is so great.
